Vintage in Pills JOHN GALLIANO Fall 1995 Paris – Fashion Channel

Presented on March 17, 1995, in a warehouse near Pigalle in Paris, John Galliano’s Fall 1995 “Dolores” collection was inspired by actress Dolores del Río and developed through a narrative-driven presentation.

The collection featured bias-cut dresses, flamenco-inspired silhouettes, and ruffled constructions, with looks in shades of lavender, fuchsia, black, and white. Hair accessories included peinetas (traditional combs), while references to religious iconography appeared through styling elements such as rosaries and symbolic adornments.

Key garments included lightweight dresses with fluid movement, as well as more structured pieces defined by precise cutting techniques. Notably, floral insert construction was used to create seamless garments, including a carnation-inspired dress worn by Carla Bruni.

The presentation environment incorporated a staged rooftop setting with maritime elements, aligning with the collection’s narrative references.
