Venezuela’s ongoing battle against hunger – BBC News
Despite being an oil-rich country, Venezuela is facing record levels of child malnutrition as it experiences severe shortages of food and an inflation rate of over 700%.
The Venezuelan Health Ministry says child mortality has also jumped 30% in the last year. The BBC’s Vladimir Hernandez met some of the families struggling to cope.

Does the energy ceasefire President Trump announced between Russia and Ukraine actually exist?
Over the weekend Trump said a truce had been reached. But whilst Ukrainian President Zelensky said he would be willing to back one, Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, said Ukraine doesn’t deserve the “respite” that a ceasefire would bring.

Expensive furniture sold by the US-based company Wayfair is at the centre of a bizarre conspiracy theory involving allegations of child trafficking, which has been spreading online.
The unfounded claims first appeared on 14 June in the US but have become a global trend since.
Wayfair has said “there is of course no truth to these claims”.
