Claude is a genius at marketing advice, but advice doesn’t change your ads or your store. In 2026 the “hands” exist as connectors (MCP servers), each with limits, and giving AI hands without rules has already gone wrong. This video covers what each connector can actually do and the four rules that make AI hands safe.

Why doesn’t AI marketing advice get done? Time. HubSpot says 86.4% of marketing teams use AI, but in Fiverr’s survey of about 6,000 small business owners, 70% spend under five hours a week on marketing. In a poll of about 700 SEOs, 56% said fewer than 40% of their recommendations get implemented.

Can Claude change Meta ads, Shopify or Google Ads? Meta’s official ads connector can create and edit campaigns, and everything it creates starts paused. Shopify’s connector works with products, orders, customers and discounts, but can’t issue refunds, touch payments or edit a live theme. Google’s own Google Ads MCP server is read-only.

What can go wrong when AI has hands? In May 2026 a user reported Claude, through the Meta ads connector, set a daily budget of NT$30,000 instead of NT$300 because it assumed cents (about US$350 overspent). A Replit coding agent deleted a production database, and researchers showed a malicious GitHub issue could make an agent leak private data through a connector.

How do you give AI hands safely? Approval on anything that spends or publishes, caps on budgets, new things start paused, and a log of every change so you can undo it. In Claude you can set every write tool to “Needs approval”.
