The native Irish are becoming a minority in their own country thanks to neoliberal immigration policies and yet still you find idiots like these shouting outdated pro-IRA slogans like 'Brits out!'? Pathetic.

I’m not in Ireland and puzzled by this band. Are they not inciting hatred? If everyone is welcome in Ireland why do they want Brits out? What about DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion)? Only with certain groups it seems. Does this not make them bigoted?

    January 26, 2024 at 6:34 pm

of course these sewer rats are bigots and trying to court controversy via their images as well as what they are saying, everything they say and do is aimed at Unionists or 'Brits' as they like to call us, Its one thing to promote your language and heritage but to include violent republican imagery over steps the line, If a group of young lads from the Shankill did the same as Kneecap albeit from a militant Loyalist perspective there would be outrage and certainly no funding from film sponsers, Years ago Hip Hop in Northern Ireland was inclusive, kids from all backgrounds mixed together, this shower of shite is divisive and should be called out as so.

Why are you promoting this group? I heard it on the radio in Friday, so why have you picked this particular rap group to promote? Is there an agenda being pushed here? It’s supposed to be a news channel funded by the public so again why are you promoting this group?

Nothing new about the subject matter at all. Give My Head Peace is a satirical television comedy series on BBC Northern Ireland that pokes fun at political parties, paramilitary groups and the sectarian divide in Northern Ireland. We've been watching that Show even before the Belfast Agreement was signed. And is still in production and touring.

UK economy faces tough months ahead says Bank of England – BBC News

Published

on

The Bank of England says the UK economy is in for another tough few months but it believes that the impact of coronavirus restrictions will not be as bad as last year’s lockdown and the rollout of vaccines will help the economy bounce back.

The economy is expected to shrink by 4.2 percent in the first three months of this year. However the bank says there could be a rapid recovery from spring onwards.

As the government’s furlough scheme winds down the Bank say the unemployment rate is likely to peak at 7.8% by the middle of the year

Sophie Raworth presents BBC News at Ten reporting by economics editor Faisal Islam.

Man with guns arrested near Donald Trump rally in Coachella, California, then released | BBC News

Published

on

Suspect Vem Miller, in illegal possession of a shotgun and a loaded handgun, was arrested an intersection near Donald Trump’s rally in Coachella, California on Saturday, police said.

The 49-year-old suspect was driving a black SUV when he was stopped at a security checkpoint by deputies, who located the two firearms and a “high-capacity magazine”.

He was then taken into custody “without incident”, the Riverside County Sheriff’s office said, and booked on possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a high-capacity magazine. He was later released.

The US Secret Service said Trump “was not in any danger”, adding that the incident did not impact protective operations.

Elon Musk unveils Cybercab at Tesla robotaxi event | BBC News

Published

on

Tesla boss Elon Musk has unveiled the firm’s long-awaited robotaxi, the Cybercab, at the Warner Bros Studios in Burbank, California.

The futuristic-looking vehicle, with no pedals or steering wheel, deposited Musk in front of an audience eager to hear details about a project he considers key to Tesla’s next chapter.

The multi-billionaire reiterated his view that fully self-driving vehicles will be safer than those operated by humans.

Although Musk is hopeful for production to begin “before 2027”, analysts are doubtful on how realistic this is.

Hurricane Milton is going to be “deadly and catastrophic”, officials are warning, as millions leave Florida ahead of the storm’s arrival

Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, has been speaking in what will be his last briefing before Hurricane Milton makes landfall late on Wednesday night.

“51 counties remain under a state of emergency but authorities are “prepared and we will respond”, he said.

He adds “there is still hope” Milton could weaken further before it reaches Florida after it was downgraded to a category four storm earlier by the National Hurricane Center.
