The country is short of fit, strong healthy workers. What better recruitment process than insisting they pay a small fortune, trek across continents and finally brave the channel in a small rubber boat? But no, you want send them back and try and persuade some unfit, obese, entitled Brit to come off benefits and take the job instead. We need more immigrants, especially the ones with the balls to get here the hard way. How do you think America became the great country it is? It was a magnet for brave and aspirational settlers from all over the world.

As an international student studying here and looking to make the most of opportunities available, this is one thing that confises me about the UK.

It truly fails significantly to take care of its people. Like my brother says to me, you can't help someone out off poverty if you yourself are poor.

This is not the same thing but the old people are struggling. If is heartbreaking to see how difficult life is for them. They don't deserve this andlet the UK focus on itself.
