‘Scrap the Chagos deal for good right now.’
GB News Presenter Patrick Christys analyses why Keir Starmer and Lord Richard Hermer have been so desperate to give away the Chagos Islands, blasting the Government’s ‘appalling’ treatment of Chagossians despite their pride in being human rights lawyers. Exploring the ‘tangled web’ of connections between Keir Starmer, Attorney General Lord Hermer, and the lawyers representing Mauritius. Is this a matter of international law, or a ‘deal for mates’ that compromises British sovereignty and global security?

Ireland REVOLT: Government launch ‘SINISTER media CRACKDOWN’ as protests spread North: Eoin Lenihan
Irish protests this past week have been met with a media blackout as the government sought to cast blame for fuel protests on Iran and other figures, rather than excessive taxes and a refusal to engage with public concerns. Despite surviving a no-confidence vote overnight, the Irish government’s handling of the protests may have prompted the emergence of a strong, conservative opposition.
In this GB News Originals interview, Nick Dunning speaks to author of Vandalising Ireland, Eoin Lenihan, about the shocking farmer and haulier protests sweeping across Ireland — and what they reveal about rising anger over fuel prices, government taxation, and political accountability.
Following global instability linked to tensions in Iran and rising oil prices, Irish citizens took to the streets in unprecedented numbers. But are these protests really about fuel — or something much deeper?
Lenihan argues that this marks the beginning of a broader grassroots movement, with ordinary working people pushing back against what he describes as an increasingly out-of-touch political establishment. From claims of media bias and government overreach, to the emergence of new right-wing political movements, this is a conversation that goes far beyond Ireland.
📉 Why are Irish fuel taxes so high?
🚜 Why are farmers and hauliers leading the protests?
📺 Is the media failing to report the full story?
🏛️ Could this reshape Irish politics forever?
With tensions rising and protests spreading into Northern Ireland, this interview explores whether we are witnessing the early stages of a major political realignment — not just in Ireland, but across Europe.

I see this on the internet, says
what is a junior doctor?, This is what it said:
A junior doctor is any medical graduate who is in "further training and not yet qualified to practice independently without supervision".
So when I read that, that's telling me, that the Doctor has some medical degree , but has not yet finish all the training.
Just like an apprentice, example; Electrician, studied level 1, studied level 2, studied level 3, (degree ), still on training money, then when fully qualified and works with a senior electrician for a further 2-3 years, then the pay scale increases.
I would say, a so called junior Doctors salary isn't that bad, ( "Still Training" ), £30,000 – £35,000 a year, then when fully qualified with a number of years experience, your pay scale increases, like any job that requires a number of years training.
Everyone seems to be getting on the bandwagon with strike action.
@ilikelampshades6
January 25, 2024 at 4:05 pm
I think the NHS should shift efforts away from Tory voters. The people that voted to destroy the NHS and are now opposing fair pay for workers can clearly afford to go private. So let's give care to those that support us and hold back from tory voters
@ilikelampshades6
January 25, 2024 at 4:05 pm
Why do right wing politicians only care about patient safety on the 2 or 3 days of strikes and don't care how many people die from easily avoidable injuries/illness over the previous decade of non-strikes?

I am 82 , no longer live in England but did so for 75 years. My local surgery for the past 40 years never had an English Doctor , only two were white , an Irishman and a Jew who didn't stay long. The exodus of British Doctors to America and Australia has been going on for years.
@psps2034

Nobody is dying this week because emergency care is still covered .
Why should the doctor removing your appendix at night or the doctor delivering your anaesthetic have to work between 48 to 60 hours a week just to be paid above 3k in hand per month ?
For the level of work they do and hours , they should be paid more ! Or they should be paid the same and have to only work 40 hours .
