Domino’s Pizza’s last stores in Italy have been closed after the firm that operated its outlets in the country filed for bankruptcy, reports say.
Franchise holder ePizza SpA was hit by the pandemic, according to Bloomberg.
Domino’s had struggled to win over customers in the birthplace of pizza since launching there in 2015.

The terms of a deal between Israel and Hamas for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages are being finalised, a Palestinian official familiar with the negotiations has told the BBC.
It comes as US President Joe Biden said a deal was “on the brink” of coming to fruition, and that his administration was working urgently on the matter.
An Israeli official also told news agency Reuters that negotiations were in “advanced stages”, with a deal possible in “hours, days or more”.
Biden spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, and with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar, who is mediating the negotiations.

Hopefully this will happen in Britain too but instead of just closing them they should do what McDonald's did in Russia and sell them to a British owner instead! Typical of America to make a profit out of supposed sanctions! The last time I bought a Domino's pizza was in 2008 and never bought one since because when I got it home the double toppings were so sparce I had to add my own! I have since made a point of never going to an American pizza franchise since because the small local independent pizza places are far superior and cheaper anyway and I'd rather spend my money propping up the British economy than wasting it on the American!

Italians can cook themself a vareity of good meals so why would they need fastfood pizza?
Its like Walmart in Germany meanwhile we have Aldi, Lidl, Edeka and Rewe and alot of regional shops where you can directly buy fresh raw materials from farmers around you, so whats the point of having Walmart in Germany?
