Five years on from the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan | BBC News
It has been five years since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan, as western forces left, imposing their extreme, ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam on millions of people.
Their return to power brought relative peace to the country after two decades of war.
But Afghan women have been erased from public life. Girls are banned from school from the age of 12, and aren’t allowed to go to university.
Public parks are also off limits to women – and they can’t travel abroad without a male companion.

I don't understand why so many muslims are so violent. When Tibetans are oppressed by the Chinese, they self-immolate themselves, ending their own lives in a form of protest. It's terrible and crazy, but highly respectable and gets the message out without hurting innocent bystanders. How does justifying or killing innocent people ever help your faith?
I just came off of a video where muslims were debating whether it was appropriate to establish an islamic state. The very fact that the debate had to be held is very telling of muslim culture. They can't seem to handle this idea of multiculturalism.
To the moderates, good on you. However I wonder if you're just saying this now that you're being intimidated by the rest of the world (for good and justifiable reasons), or if you actually believed in that prior to all the hostilities. To the extremists. I do not sympathize with you, nor will I ever pretend that you have a point to make. I'll shove bacon down the extremist's mouth if he tries that shit with me. Directly force feed him nature's most exquisite food.

Allied air strikes need to continue against ISIS and intensified as the Iraqi govt is paralyzed to do anything.Forget the Iranians since they are still smuggling weapons and supplies to the losers Assad and Hamas in Syria and Gaza.
