It’s nearly eight weeks since Russia invaded Ukraine, forcing about four million people to flee their homes.
So far only 12,000 of them have reached the UK – and that’s partly down to delays in granting visas.
Residents in the town of Aberfeldy in Perthshire, Scotland, say they are making it their mission to welcome as many Ukrainians as possible.
Home Secretary Priti Patel has apologised for the “frustrating” visa delays which have prevented thousands of Ukrainian refugees entering the UK.

Sorry to say this but this is the price to reach success in life doing the illegal short cut. Many people like me we have to work hard with honesty to get a job opportunity in other countries PAYING all charges for visas, accommodation, air tickets, food, hotel rooms, services, transportation and all about being honest going through the normal process. But this idiots have the money to pay mafias with the promise to find success and new life in Europe. They end up dead or in prison with no exit. That girl is really blessed having help from the local authority. Out of 60 illegal people only 1 made it. Maybe God have something for her and this story to be watch for all these who still believe in their mafias doing the illegal short cut. Watch out and pay legal way for God sake!! If there is money for mafias why you don't have it to request a visa???

How many Libyans are trying their luck since we neutralised Gaddafi? That was a great move. It's mostly our fault and we should make their homeland a more desirable place to stay so they don't feel the need to risk their lives.
