I forgot that Sorted ever had a working sink. I know that the COVID Quarantines stopped them from doing the set redesign that they had talked about, but I hope that they do it soon.

It's kind of annoying to be told that there's a link to the recipe below the video, when there isn't. When I follow the links I end up at a site where I'm being sold a whole bunch of stuff and where I can't find the recipe in question. Very disappointing. I love your videos but I can't afford another membership in anything.

Funny old Sorted videos where normal would say the food they are making but is mainly Ben who do the cooking and they just chop things or stand there 🙂

Broccolli roasted with tahinni sauce, is GREAT. I just put one tablespoon, with broccoli in a bag and rub to distribute (don't use too much) and then roast. YUM

Question: for the salad what would be a good substitute for the onion? Not a big fan of onion with that cooking method.

i make a pasta sauce thats basically lots of garlic, mushrooms, ham, cream and throw in a bunch of small broccoli florets for the last few minutes. be pretty heavy-handed with the pepper – and balance the salt with how salty your ham is. It's really rich but the lightly cooked broccoli keeps it from getting overwhelming.

Stinky cheese to add to your bucket list: cabrales, from Asturias, Spain!

This is years late, but I love broccoli so: one of my fave salads is very thinly chopped/sliced broccoli florets, RAW, with a ton of crispy bacon, crunchy nuts/seeds, a creamy dressing of yoghurt+mayo+olive oil, and some sort of dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, etc) optional. SO. DELICIOUS.

Could you find a way to cook broccoli that gets rid of the crucifer proteins that cause me to be violently ill at the south end the next day? I'd like that very much.

I would use the water from boiling the broccoli to make the mornay (part that, part milk), gives more flavour.

Mike, I love you more and more. I too adore broccoli, but only cooked. 🙂 Did you know that if you steam it (or cook it however) until it's very limp, it tastes very much like the deep heart of artichoke? HEAVEN!!!

My favorite broccoli preparation is real simple – broccoli in a hot dry pan until there's a bit of char on the florets then in with a bit of oil, garlic and crushed red pepper. Finish with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese or a drizzle of toasted sesame oil and serve.

I just happened across this video, and can't wait to try them all!
My favorite thing to do with broccoli is simple olive oil roasted broccoli with minced garlic, salt and pepper.

Cream of broccoli soup was a classic as a child, it always had cheese on top but I never thought of putting peanut butter in it.
