Dogs such as pit bulls and others ARE of an aggressive nature and MUST be watched over continuously. If you have children at home, DO NOT have one of those breeds. If you do, you need your mental health checked..

A GROWN MAN TAKING ADVICE FROM A KID GIRL ON DANGEROUS DOG OWNERSHIP SHOWS THE CONDITION THIS SOCIETY'S IN. KILLER DOG'S GOT A BRAIN THE SIZE OF A BOILED EGG YET EVERY TIME A BABY GETS EATEN ALIVE WE LET THESE IDIOT DOG LOVERS JUSTIFY KEEPING THEM. LAW EXISTS TO HAVE THEM REMOVED FROM THE LAND BUT THE POLICE WON'T ENFORCE IT AND MAKE THEMSELVES ANY MORE UNPOPULAR. MANY ( MANY) DANGEROUS DOG OWNERS SIMPLY LOVE BEING IN COMMAND/CONTROL OF A DEADLY WEAPON ON LEGS AND DEFEND THEM WITH THIS 'MAN'S BEST FRIEND' B.S. IT TOOK DUNBLAINE TO TAKE AWAY THE GUNS, HOW BIG AN INCIDENT WILL IT TAKE TO TAKE AWAY THE MAN EATING BEASTS !

This country is dog mad. I'm sick of them being allowed running around off the lead, defecating on the pavement (and no it's not cleaned up) snarling and barking at people. Dog owners need to realise not everyone likes dogs, especially if they've been bitten several times and it's not the dog owner's right to allow their dog to run off a lead on a public path or area allowing it to approach strangers snarling or otherwise. I fully support charging those supposedly in control of a dog that attacks someone else. It should be treated as an unprovoked assault as if it were a human carrying out the attack. And bring back the dog licence. £400 per year per dog index linked. Dog owners can pay for having to have their dog's filth cleaned up off the pavements.

A sad but rare occurrence, there isn't enough hours in the day to show all the amazing moments dogs bring to people's lives.

I bought my blue Staffordshire bull terrier from a friend I picked her at 1 week bought her at 8 weeks and collected her at I’m sure 24 weeks old , and she’s become inseparable from the family she’s been absolutely brilliant. I’ve had dogs all of my life from a young age theirs always been a family dog , and their was only 1 dog that ever decided to bite me and he was a rescue dog called jasper he was a cocker spaniel , we found him tied up to a fence post in whales along side a caravan park god 30 years ago now . He a was lovely dog , but one day he did bite me , It wasn’t life threatening and he wasn’t put down he lived to a good old age , sure he was 15/16 when he died , but what I’m trying to say is that not all dogs are bad dogs , I’ve had my dog around my daughter since they were both babies and I would trust my dog with my kids more than any human tbh . It’s simply down to the culture of today , and lack of education and morals , half of these idiots with these dogs can’t even look after themselves never mind other animals.. simple ban kids under the age of 18 from owning them and and put in place stricter rules on ownership of these animals, as it’s not fair on the dogs thousands probably die every week because owners can’t be bother taking the time to train their dogs properly,

People keep saying it's all to do with dog training and how the dog is treated. Obviously there's truth to that but what I DO NOT understand is why all over planet Earth one breed of dog is disproportionately responsible for serious attacks on humans (and fatal attacks also). Why are owners and lovers of that breed (and related breeds– also highly represented in attack statistics) defensively, disingenuously trying to shut down serious enquiry and debate, saying 'there's nothing to see here, move along'? Is it genuinely not relevant when trying to understand this issue?! Whatever they're anxious about hearing is NOT what's being said. They need to calm down and join the conversation helpfully and at least acknowledge this strange phenomenon exists.

It should be illegal to have dogs off leads. Police don’t seem to deal with this until a person or a little child is killed by an-out of control dog.

I work in a pet shop and i tell you now the problem is the new breeds that these hooligans are breeding and selling between them the dog of choice at the moment is the xl bully a truly frightening breed these dogs are bred to kill

To a dog a child is below him / her in the pecking order of the “ pack “ . That’s why so many children get bitten

    January 20, 2024 at 12:56 pm

When I had my last dog at 8 weeks he was a nightmare and would just sink his teeth into you. I had him trained after two weeks and he never even attempted to bite anyone since and he's now 12 and is the most gentile dog I've ever had around children.

The situation is fixable….bring back dog licensing and regulate dog breeders…..Add more dangerous breed's to the banned list…

  20. @daz.r1994

    January 20, 2024 at 12:56 pm

It's down to the owner if you had the dog from a puppy. And train it well you won't have a aggressive dog. I got my dog at 7 weeks old. It was a piranha on 4 legs at 7 weeks old. as the owner i got it from was training it to be a fighting dog. I saved it from that life. After the thurd time she went piranha on me. I stopped it she never did that again. She is now 13 years old and my best friend. She likes other dogs cats chickens and wont bit no human ever. It makes me sick when people train there dogs to be aggressive. They should be band for life from having Animals. I have had dogs for 35 years.

We need new laws. Fed up of people putting dogs before kids and adults out in public. No your dog does not have the right to go everywhere with you. They need to be banned from shops and on a lead in all public spaces.

You should see the comments made to me on facebook when I post this from "fur baby" owners.

Can you believe dog owners blaming parents of 3 year olds for the fact there "non aggressive" dog attacked the kid in a park? Comments like your kid ran, your kid screamed, do not take your kid to the park, pick up your child when the dog comes over. Etc.

  27. @Saul_Ferguson

    January 20, 2024 at 12:56 pm

The dogs are doing like a Zoo. From the book/ TV show Zoo. It's about the disruption of animal pheromones due to the widespread use of radio waves through cell phones and petroleum products like car exhaust combining to enlarge the animal's amygdalas and causing them to be unstoppably aggressive.

They should be banned and destroyed. It's cruel to the animal to. All these muppets having dogs just because they were bored for a bit. Mind you, most peoples lives are boring and most people are bored.
