Pakistan recalls Iran ambassador after missile strike | BBC News
Pakistan’s government has recalled its ambassador to Iran and has blocked Tehran’s envoy from returning.
It comes after Iran admitted to carrying out a missile and drone attack on western Pakistan on Tuesday.
Officials in Islamabad said two children were killed and three others injured in the attack in Balochistan.
Iran’s foreign minister said the operation targeted the militant group Jaish al-Adli, which he described as an “Iranian terrorist group” in Pakistan.
Islamabad said the attack was “illegal” and warned of “serious consequences”.

At least 224 people are dead and a state of emergency has been declared after Colombia was hit by one of its largest earthquakes in years.
The death toll is likely to rise, with more feared trapped under collapsed buildings.
The magnitude 7.4 quake struck at 07:34 (12:34 GMT) at a depth of 103km (64 miles) in Chocó province, the country’s geological service said. It was felt across an enormous area, stretching for hundreds of miles across western Colombia.
Many of the deaths have been concentrated in Cali, Colombia’s third most populous city.

A man has died and thousands of people have been told to evacuate their homes amid torrential rain and flash flooding in Australia’s largest city, Sydney.
Roads have been cut off, with 18 evacuation orders in western Sydney alone and warnings of more to come.
“This is a life-threatening emergency situation,” Stephanie Cooke, emergency services minister for the state of New South Wales, said.
