So.. Banana FT for breakfast, Vegan FT for lunch and "Italian" FT for dinner? yup, sounds about right..

  2. @marthawilson444

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Interesting but I really don't like thick french toast, I prefer thinner slices of bread just as my mom cooked it!. Fruit as an addition is great. Savory would be fun to serve company.

  3. @linebrunelle1004

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

    stuffed FT. come on.

Bannock FT, fresh seasonal fruit, ie blueberries, black berries, Saskatoona, REAL maple syrup. wild Turkey or Bison sausage. Welcome to Canada

I wish this was labeled as a commercial, which it so clearly is.

5:13 Every single thing I eat that has been sautéed or fried with chia seeds in the pané has been awful. The chia seeds are terrible, when fried. This is a FAD, and will pass. Recently, frozen foods are showing up with this crap in it. No. It is a crunch that is unpleasant. It is like little rocks in your food. Like sand, but less pleasant.

0:01 Before we get going: I made a savory bread pudding, on my own, 8 years ago, and I live in houston. The Italian food here is extremely boring, and I almost never eat it at restaurants, so no: I was not influenced by tv or restaurants. I just thought to myself: lasagne is yummy, and comforting. Bread pudding is yummy, and comforting. Why can’t I combine the yummy flavors of lasagne or pizza with the comfort of bread pudding.
Savory “French Toast” is an obvious side-step, of the same thought process. I commend you, gentlemen (and ladies?) on your creativity, and open mindedness.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻💋💋💋💋💋🇺🇸🌸

I'd love to try the vegan one, who am I kidding I'd love to try them all 😂👍 x

  12. @IanLouisRSA

That first one from Jamie looks AMAZING!!!

I have yet to find a vegan 'cheese' recipe that has the best qualities of cheese: melting, stretching, richness, tang. Recommendations?

  14. @TheKernowKids

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

I was always brought up with 'eggy bread' with ketchup XD

  15. @sammysoppy3361

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

the vegan french toast looks depressing I’m sorry

  16. @teatime2936

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

You should pinch the bottom of the banana and peel it from there, it wont break like it did in the blooper. 😂 It's the way monkey's do it! 🙌

  17. @giabread

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

The vegan one is so overloaded with sugar that I can't imagine it being healthy in any way, shape or form. You're better off eating the butter and the milk than that poison.

  18. @martynamaczyszyn

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

"[…]half Polish pastry" – which part of Mike's version does scream Polish to you, Ben…?

Because, to me, a born and bred Polish girl, it doesn't even whisper Polish and it baffles me. A lot.

  19. @SheepdogSmokey

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

OK, I've never really liked French Toast, so have never made it, but is it just the bread soaked in beaten eggs then fried off?

  20. @quacasualwomen

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

dude. Jamie please no more French

  21. @daveenglish1270

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Why does Mike always make vegan food on these videos

  22. @rafaelcole8082

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Sooooo, Ben's is a deconstructed french toast pizza? XD

  23. @traceyrice

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

How about some ideas for egg alternatives. Not just because you are vegan but may be allergic to eggs?

  24. @karenkwan9782

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

the thing is, french toast isnt even french 😂

  25. @jay-leevanderberg8174

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

I’m going to have to try the savoury French Toast!

  26. @LadyGigglesnort

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

I'm guessing French is not Jamie's strongest skill. It sounds how my hubby and I talk when being silly. Considering we have issues with English, it is funny but a hot mess.

  27. @jenmalcom7004

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

One problem with Jaime's…the sides didn't cook, so you'd be eating raw egg mixture on the sides.

  28. @charlottematou5896

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

You foreigners always overthink our humbled "pain perdu" (lost bread, as we call French toast). It originally was just a way to use stale bread and was served without any toppings (at least that's how my grandma and I do it).
    Still love your videos though!
    À French person.

  29. @1986thepom

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

You've sold out to Kenwood. And I'm out

  30. @OMGLoCodoCo

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

I tot it was a advertisement for Kenwood the way Jamie show the devices haha
    Oh.. it is

  31. @bcaye

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

    Love all three.

  32. @chrislebelmusic1540

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Use the savory french toast as a base for an eggs benedict. OMG that might be a really good idea lol.

  33. @soplv605

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

The one thing nobody in other countries seems to get is that french toast or "pain perdu" should be made with old bread "lost bread". This not only saves bread from going to waste but also gives it a lovely texture! Who makes french toast with brioche?

  34. @annab6726

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

    I'M SOOOOOOOOOO HUNGRY RIGHT NOW!

  35. @one_smol_duck

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Ben I would eat regular french toast for dinner anyday let's be honest

  36. @Zommy08

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

"we're going to pané the bread" i love breading bread

  37. @shuyin1111

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Mike looks soooooooooooooo bored at the start of the video

  38. @marymiller752

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

So all three of these sound amazing, but can we talk about the whisk attachment for the food processor at 7:35 ? Why have I never seen one before?? I need one

  39. @patrickjacquet646

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

oh you call "pain perdu" french toast, what a weird little island.

  40. @solomonpk

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

I'm not eating vegan crap! F you!

  41. @FruitNDoggie

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Maybe it's an English thing, but I'd smash French toast lunch or dinner any day.

  42. @Krankyolman

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Having had the tri blade thing for years this is the first time I've seen the whisk attachment. Its the best thing since sliced bread.

  43. @Ambziie

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

I know this is heavily sponsored but damn I am enjoying it. I now know what to do with mine!!

  44. @Matt-dc8lp

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Jamie…no bacon crumbles? (American bacon, not that floppy ham looking crap Brits call bacon)

  45. @Seaolh

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Just so you know, French toast is SUPPOSED to be done with stale bread. The French name is "pain perdu", literally lost bread, because you're saving it from the brink of death and rehydrate it in the custard

  46. @theterminator2700

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Haha the vegan one looks awful #MeatFTW

  47. @sebeckley

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Almond milk and coconut milk (doesn't taste coconut y) will give you a much richer flavor than oat or rice milk.

  48. @andiem8575

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

    Potstickers/gyoza next? Love the video!

  49. @Black_Ryze

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

JAMIE. NEVER. Try. to. speak. FRENCH. again!

  50. @fumblztv8979

    January 16, 2024 at 1:10 pm

The overexplaining of why the vegan one is valid is pretty funny. I'd like to hear their real thoughts on it sometime.
