Ten years ago, the first Plan 2 borrowers started repaying their student loans. Since then, graduates who left university with similar debts have found themselves on very different financial paths.

At the begging of this mini doc you make it sound as if all Mexican Americans are immigrants. I was born here in the United States my mother was born here as well. I am American raised by an 80's American kid she was young when she had me lol but American culture is my culture my grandparents on the other hand are way way Mexican and I grow up with both both cultures. It's true that I am rejected by Mexicans and Americans all at the same time.
I will say that from what I've seen tho people who were born in Mexico and now live in the US wouldn't consider themselves Mexican Americans probably for a long time, but I am, I am a Mexican American

Disappointing Documentary just like the rest. It’s like visiting Tennessee and saying this is what it means to be American. American is American stop shooting yourself in the foot. I love my Mexican culture. I live in the USA and love to share my world same as I love to learn about other parts of the world through other Americans with diverse cultures. Being a Mexican-American means you're a mexican who was born in U.S soil, tho the "american" concept is misused since everyone who was born in the continent of America should be considered american and not only those who were born in the U.S

To be Mexican-American is to culturally assimilate yourself from your ancestral roots of indigenous culture. It’s quite sad many of these people are very confused about their identities. They have been brainwashed by colonialism, and ,white supremacy , along with the caste system created during the colonial era of the America’s. However, I will say….not all Mexican America’s are native or of native descendants. Many. Many. Many. Are but not all. There are many Mexicans who are indeed white or African descent. My point is directed towards the majority of the population that have abandoned their indigenous way of life. As the descendants of the native America’s it is our job to educate ourself on our culture.

The way I see it is I'm a Mexican who was born in the U.S because my grandparents from both sides wanted a better life for their kids. I agree America is kinda nicer but Mexico is where my roots are so I have a deep connection with the country
