How Ukrainian refugees fleeing Russia’s war are settling in Wales – BBC News
More than five million refugees from Ukraine are trying to settle into new homes across Europe.
The Welsh Government has said it’s working to find homes for about 200 Ukrainian refugees it sponsored to come to the UK, who have been staying at one of its welcome centres.
The centre, run by the Welsh youth organisation the Urdd, offers everything from education and employment support to activities for the children – but it’s due to reopen to the public later next month.

Today, an undercover BBC investigation has found evidence of law firms and legal advisors helping migrants pretend to be gay to get asylum.
Migrants were advised to take staged photos at nightclubs, attend LGBT events and to go to GPs pretending to be depressed to obtain medical evidence to support their cases.
Adam and Chris are joined by BBC politics investigation correspondent Billy Kenber, who uncovered the story. In response to our findings, the Home Office said: “Anyone found trying to exploit the system will face the full force of the law, including removal from the UK.”
Plus, Adam also checks in with Faisal, who’s in the US at the IMF’s annual conference. He fills us in on the indirect war of words between Rachel Reeves and her US counterpart, Scott Bessent.

Hungary has seen a historic election result. After 16 years in power, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has been ousted from the role.
Péter Magyar’s Tisza party won a comfortable “super majority” with two-thirds of the seats in parliament, meaning the party will be able to change the constitution.
The defeat will mean a huge reset of Hungary’s relationships with the rest of the world.
Orbán has been a close partner of both US President Donald Trump and Russia’s Vladimir Putin, and he had become a big thorn in the side of the EU and Ukraine.
The BBC’s Europe Editor Katya Adler was in Budapest as the election unfolded, and takes you with her in this video as a historic defeat takes place.

Americans are reacting to President Donald Trump’s escalating feud with Pope Leo XIV and the backlash surrounding an AI-generated image depicting the president as a Jesus-like figure, which has since been deleted.
On Monday, Trump posted a lengthy Truth Social message attacking the pontiff, who has been a vocal critic of the US and Israeli military operations in Iran.
He criticised the Pope, calling him “weak on crime” and “terrible for foreign policy”.
The Pope said on Monday that he has “no fear” of the Trump administration or “speaking out loudly of the message of the Gospel, which is what I believe I am here to do”.

US President Donald Trump said US-Iran talks could restart in Pakistan “in the next two days”, though Iran is yet to comment.
He also said the war is “very close to over”, in a preview of an interview released by Fox News.
Meanwhile, Israel’s attacks on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon continue, after it held talks with the Lebanese government in the US on Tuesday.

As a tax payer I am not happy. The Queen and Boris can support them from their rich pockets, but leave my money out of it. We got elderly, disabled who are about to be homeless. Trust me, I know, work as a bailiff. Those disabled and elderly will be choosing between heating and food next winter. Social services you say? Don't be kidding, I personally had to refuse an eviction because councils don't care about disabled or elderly. As an example, I had an old mentally incapable man that I refused to evict untill the council gets someone to help him. I can rattle on. Charity at home, if you not happy, well, rip your British passport and get out my country I live in
