Israel intensifies strikes on Gaza despite calls for restraint from UN and US – BBC News

Published

on

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told militants in the Gaza Strip they will “pay a very heavy price” after another day of escalating violence between Israel and the Palestinians.

Despite appeals for restraint from the UN and the United States, an Israeli air strike destroyed an apartment block in Gaza City after residents were warned to leave.

Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza responded by firing a large number of rockets towards the Israeli city of Tel Aviv and its suburbs. A woman was killed in the attacks.

The latest round of violence began around the Al-Aqsa mosque in east Jerusalem which is sacred for both Muslims and Jews.

During Ramadan there have been clashes there between Palestinian protesters and Israeli security forces who imposed tight restrictions on the site.

Tensions in east Jerusalem, which has been occupied by Israel since 1967, are also running high over plans to evict dozens of Palestinians from a neighbourhood claimed by Jewish settlers.

Sophie Raworth presents BBC News at Ten reporting by middle east correspondent Tom Bateman.

I wasn’t that long ago when American corporations used – children – to do the work that adults could not… nothing changed in the Muslim world as the “children” they use as political props are actually used to dig those terrorist tunnels… do our Democrat Party Mefia Apparatchiks report this? Nope. They hide it as they show children injured by the result war that they encourage and finance with our taxes dollars…

ISRAEL HAS EVERY RIGHT TO PROTECT ITSELF, HAMAS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATHS OF MANY PALESTINIANS. WHY USE THEM AS HUMAN SHIELDS?

IF IT WASN'T FOR THE IRON DOME, HOW MANY ISRAELITES WOULD'VE BEEN KILLED AS A RESULT OF THIS RUTHLESS MISSILES COMING FROM PALESTINE?

AGAIN, WHO FIRED THE FIRST MISSLE BETWEEN THE TWO? You know the truth. If someone dared to kill your family, would you smile and leave the person roam around with the threat of doing it over and over again? I don't think so.

Israel is not fighting Palestine it fighting a terrorist organization name Hamas This is the problem with the narrative of the news because you don’t know the full story Hamas has attacked Israel with rocket and suicide bombing for the last 20 years we cannot take it anymore for the sake of the life of the civilians and no other country in the world Would do differently and if you think so think about your country is being attacked by missiles and rocket for over two decades by your neighboring countries and you do nothing about it and the world will criticize you for protecting your civilian's

Zionisam is migration movement of Talmud people to 1 state. Zionists invented idea of 1st world war and 2nd world war. Ask yourself who was truly winner in 1st world war and 2nd world war? Rockefeller and his Zionist group sacrificed millions of Jews who follow Torah to gain state of Israel. Rockefeller famously said " if you wanna achieve success you need to be crystal clear what you want and be willing to pay the price."

It's not a matter of religion or Jews against Muslims or Arabs, it's this:
The bullies of this world – Western countries that are members of NATO and Israel – have one aim: military dominance in EVERY part of the world.
When such bullies eye-ball a territory, be it of Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or any other religion, there are 3 ways in which bullies act:
    1. people are cooperative: bullies then support them in every way, financially, just to have military access and that of their corporations
    2. people are resistant: bullies use all possible propaganda against them and bomb the f*ck out of them into submission, they don't always succeed
    3. people are resistant but have 1 or several powerful countries covering their back: bullies tread carefully and use softer propaganda tactics
(Russia and China ambitions are restricted to economic dominance and a few disputed territories that are bordering their countries).

New explosions near Iranian port cities, says state media | BBC News

Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.

It comes after another night of strikes between the US and Iran, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps saying it hit two UAE tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted US facilities in Jordan and Bahrain.

The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.

Meanwhile, the US military says it completed strikes on targets aimed at degrading “Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping” – Iranian state media reports three people were killed.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News

Published

on

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.

Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.

President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

Clive Myrie presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Sarah Smith in Washington.

Donald Trump scraps threat of 20% fee on Strait of Hormuz cargo | BBC News

Published

on

President Donald Trump has reversed his threat of a 20% fee on all Strait of Hormuz cargo shipping, as the US battles to break Iran’s hold on the waterway.

He said the toll would be replaced by trade and investment deals with Gulf states, just hours before the US resumes a blockade of Iranian ports.

It follows renewed strikes between the US and Iran, which triggered a sharp rise in oil prices as tanker traffic through the Strait has virtually stalled.
