I hate that they deliberately, and willingly, did nothing but wait for prices to go up so we could be charged even more. There were already so many who couldn't afford it.

Tell me: if the outgoing George W Bush administration and the incoming Obama presidency working to push through an emergency rescue package at the start of the last Global Financial Crisis is reason enough for the current UK government to act in the current crisis, what’s stopping it?

  22. @smartguy9101

    January 9, 2024 at 6:17 pm

Bring in Wes Streeting/Chukka Umunna for Labour and Rory Stewart/ Hedi Allen for Conservative. Much more competent than either of the current leaders. Trouble is only 1 of the above is a sitting MP, lol.

We joke about politicians being a bunch of children then they actually share the same summer holiday date.

All I'm gonna say is if politicians need that much holiday to do their intense job of sitting around hollering then just saying yes to their leaders proposals cause that's the point of being in a party, maybe we should get the same for our actual labour.

Tax Realist Rishi makes sense. Example when you earn less money to support your family ( Govt earns money through Tax ) , then why would you try to earn even less money to support your family . Increase Tax rate along with increase amount on Non Tax. So Rich earning people tax higher and Less- middle are not taxed for increased prices . Increase Tax on luxury items (marbles, jewelry, flights, boats, more than two householding ownership ), fast foods , restaurants, entertainment , buying any new property/ real estate , car , high end phones and remove tax on agriculture foods , daily necessity at every daily necessary middle class category from household (food, repair equipment, paper ) , schools ( books, pencil, tuition fee) , public transport .

  45. @paulburns1333

There is not a single proper politician left in Britain, just mouthpiece chancers straight out of University who don't want to work for a living and see politics as the chance to earn a fortune while patronising the working class.
    That goes for all parties.
The Conservative and Labour parties have together done more damage to every area of Britain and its people than any other thing including wars. They should be tried for treason, disbanded and banned for ever for the carnage wreaked on the citizens of the UK.

    January 9, 2024 at 6:17 pm

We had a great leader – the media lied until he became unelectable. The country is run the same as corporations and business – by shareholder committee and for the benefit of them alone.

  49. @malcnixon8256

    January 9, 2024 at 6:17 pm

The UK Government in the past 12 years have proved it is completely out of its depth. It regards taking advice from experts as a weakness. Unfortunately this is a trait found in all Tories who believe they have an inheritable right to run this country. Stop voting Tory or we could end up with Liz Truss at the helm…
