US election 2020: ‘Without Joe Biden, I wouldn’t be talking to you’ – BBC News
A 13-year-old who was helped with his stutter by Joe Biden, says it’s “just crazy how far the president-elect has come”.
Mr Biden told Brayden Harrington they were “members of the same club” when they met in New Hampshire earlier this year.
The president-elect has spoken about his childhood stutter in the past.
In August, Brayden gave a recorded speech to the Democratic convention to explain how Joe Biden inspired him to overcome his fears.
Speaking to BBC News, the teenager said he was “rooting for Mr Biden” following his win.
And he had some advice for his inauguration speech.
“If he gets a block, or if he has a little moment, then he just needs to do what he does best and go through it.”

Thirty US states are suing Meta for over $1 trillion, accusing it of knowingly designing Instagram and Facebook to be addictive and harmful to children, while concealing what it knew.

At least 224 people are dead and a state of emergency has been declared after Colombia was hit by one of its largest earthquakes in years.
The death toll is likely to rise, with more feared trapped under collapsed buildings.
The magnitude 7.4 quake struck at 07:34 (12:34 GMT) at a depth of 103km (64 miles) in Chocó province, the country’s geological service said. It was felt across an enormous area, stretching for hundreds of miles across western Colombia.
Many of the deaths have been concentrated in Cali, Colombia’s third most populous city.
