Born and raised a yooper and proud of it but this episode has really nothing to do with yooper quisine all these things are here but not what we pride ourselves on pasties yes but where a meat and potatoes group preferably fresh venison or other wild game and garden fresh veggies we are a hodge podge of ethnic groups from Finn's with sisu to Italians and Germans a little of everything and our food is influenced by all

You are in the Michigan UP, where the Trout and Salmon abound. It is HEAVEN.
(Except it gets deep snow and the nets must be worn to protect you from the insects at times. Otherwise, HEAVEN!!!
