Noryhen Ireland should not be dragged out of the single msrket and the cusyoms union.
Johnson said it was a great deal when he signed the withdawal agreement, 43% voted in the tories to get it through and for it to be carrued out as he signed it. Suddenly now it was such a pathetic deal that he has been doing everything to find a reason to rip it up.

The UK just doesn’t like the trade agreement. But, don’t want to take the credit for consequences of ripping it up. They will go on until the EU cancels the TA or another government with other interests takes over the UK.

That sounds really messy. Ireland, I understand has become wealthier and more secular than it once was. Protestants and Catholics can co-exist in the same country as seen in Germany and the United States. Northern Ireland joining the rest of Ireland and thus the EU, is the simplest solution and there should be less of a reason why not.

Has anyone else realized that this turning into a dangerous proxy conflict between the UK, a former superpower, & the EU, a regulatory superpower? And it is Irish people on the Irish Island who are caught in the middle.
In my opinion, the European Union should fall back on some points before The Troubles Part 2 arise. And London needs to show some consistency with their plans, as well.

The Irish government and the EU have used Ireland as a weapon against Britain from the start. The GFA does not prohibit a hard border between rep and NI. The EU/Irish government saw the border and peace process as Britain's achilles heel. They deliberately sought to inflame the situation in NI and stir up trouble there. All this stuff about Britain being untrustworthy is rubbish. It is the EU/Irish government who have not negotiated in good faith. If there had just been a few border checks in NI there would be no problem. EU/ Irish government bullying and deceit have caused all the problems.

this seems a unique concept – you dislike the terms of a contract you signed – so you make a new contract that doesn't involve talking to the party you made the original contract with. You declare your own personal contract is better and a improvement you also claim to the original party you made the contract with nothing has changed? Europe will eventually take this through the legal process and it will end up costing the country billions in fines. I would suggest the EU amend some of their rules so that they levy fines and penalties directly onto political leaders who made these decisions and do not punish the citizens of the country

any 'deal' that is done quickly internationally is not a 'deal' it is a complete surrender and acceptance of one of the nations terms. 'Brexit' was total acceptance of whatever EU was offering or not offering. Northern Ireland is flourishing the economy is doing exceptionally well it looks like its been gift wrapped as present to become a united Ireland.
