    I’d never question not peeling mushrooms, the skin on them always looks so horrible that I wouldn’t even consider serving them anyone else let alone myself 😂😂😂 but then again Barry is Barry, and this is the same man that would rather not peel a vegetable, cut it up or quarter it, then peel the vegetable when it’s been cut or quartered which makes the peeling 10x more difficult so I guess it should come as no surprise that he wouldn’t peel mushrooms as to him it probably adds a lovely ‘earthly’ flavour that isn’t attainable with any other ingredient 😂😂I’m sure dirt and grit tastes lovely in a beef wellington and adds a different dimension of flavour and texture to the dish but that’s just me 😂😂😂 he might’ve gotten away with it because the mushrooms were blitzed into a mushy paste rather than being cooked and served as mushrooms but we really need to get on at Barry to think about what he does in these battles, he makes everything so much more difficult than it needs to be because he’s got so much going on in his brain that he cannot compute everything rationally and logically which the chefs do seamlessly, that’s the difference between a thought out and well executed dish and Barry😂😂 no thought, inconsistent execution but chaos and entertainment at every step of the way 😂😂 thanks to my mate Barry for his input after hearing Barry didn’t peel his mushrooms over a pint of Amstel in the pub, I would never have thought that a 60 year old man could be so outraged by something so trivial that he would force me to comment his disapproval of an action that a man he has never seen before whilst watching Match of the Day 😂😂, I thought I would be in for a quiet day in the pub on a Saturday afternoon watching the FA cup and Sorted but apparently not 😂😂

    As a chef myself, im pretty impressed with how good the normals can be at times, however being a chef is about the consistency of good products.

    I usedcto take venison roast with pork lardons to make venison wellington…..I miss those days..
