Britain is currently in the process of reviewing and deleting EU laws that were copy and pasted over into British legislation. That might sound reasonable, but there are tens of thousands of laws to look through, and they’ve given themselves a dangerously tight deadline…

As an American, I'm all for scrapping numerous laws and drastically reducing our own government.

I believe the only legitimate purpose of our federal government is to protect the individual rights of Americans to their own person and property by punishing criminals who infringe on these basic rights of others.
Such infringements would include crimes like murder, rape, theft, fraud, burglary, arson, and vandalism.
The government should protect against such crimes through law enforcement, a justice system, and a small military.
And, this should be funded via a single, flat import tariff.

All else should be removed from the federal government and left to individuals, or at least state and more local governments, to decide for themselves as they see fit, without federal interference.

I think there are two objectives: push the consequences on to a Labour government, and create demand that would permit the UK legal profession to expand to the level of that in the US.

Britain no longer has an influence in EU law, why on earth would it NOT want to write its own laws?

See how the toffs said have you asked for comfort and assurance, they cannot imagine, be careful of their wording, imagination or their beliefs have and never will be evidence. They know fine well that their intention is to scrap which means you are not going to have a single human right to be free from torture or any of the human rights because they are in the process of scraping the UK Human Rights Act also not just EU law. Right to housing etc

I appreciate both the quality and quantity of your content. It might be an insignificant error, but there was small typo @ 8:17. It's obvious what you had meant to spell, and since you take pride in developing your own brand of media, I thought it would be helpful to make you aware.

"… crazy to revoke EU law??" Somehow this doesn't strike me as the most crazy thing compared to voting to leave th EU itself. Self-harming seems to be recurring theme for UK.

By all means let's throw gasoline on the dumpster fire call Brexit. I swear the Tories and their supporters are becoming dumber by the day. Why do people listen to the Tories? No one in their right mind should listen to rich people because they could care less about the common people. At least the Tories should be honest and say "Okay so we're lining our pockets, please sod off".

Scrap 'uman rights please. Start deporting.

  21. @johnlawrence2757

    January 4, 2024 at 9:22 am

It will be done pragmatically on a case by case basis. But the principle concerns addressed by leaving the UK, namely British agriculture and British corporate management will benefit by being under the control of UK parliament and no longer subject to European needs.
In day to day activity in all sectors little seems to have changed and what changes have occurred seem to be to the benefit of local interests: this is how pragmatism works

  22. @RandomBloke007

    January 4, 2024 at 9:22 am

This is what we voted for. We are finally taking back control. Why should we keep laws designed to work for the whole of Europe, with all their competing national interests, when we can make our laws right for the UK? It's not that complicated.

  23. @lukepardoe2583

    January 4, 2024 at 9:22 am

There are no EU laws anymore. Anyone who believes otherwise is wrong. It's that black and white. Step back further and realise there was never a single time the EU told the UK which laws to have. The government is literally doing this to remove people's rights. Its an absolute skip fire for workers rights.

  24. @weishanlei8682

    January 4, 2024 at 9:22 am

brexit is the most serious mistake that could be possibly made in the century. You will realize it dozens of years later. No one will benefit from it.
