Jackson debuted her first collection in 1981 and went on to earn the prestigious title of British Designer of the Year in 1985.
Her significant contribution to the British fashion business was recognized further in 1987 when she was granted an MBE, and a year later in 1988, she was appointed an RDI by the Royal Society of Arts.
In 1999, she was named Contemporary Designer of the Year at the London Fashion Awards and was appointed visiting Professor at the Royal College of Art.
Jackson was also named a trustee of the V&A in 2005 and was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list in 2007.
