UK-Japan Trade Deal: https://youtu.be/F_0osJY0I7E

It seems pretty much a certainty that Andy Burnham will be the next British prime minister. Exactly when it happens depends on a few factors. We outline some of the reasons an early general election is likely.

The foundation of a strong economy is consistency. That’s what these deals bring. Even if nothing changes, that’s kind of the point.
The most damaging aspect of Brexit was the uncertainty about the trading relationship between the UK, the EU and other countries who the UK traded with through the EU.

Do you hand out antidepressants with this video. It’s a glass half empty at a time we need to be energised, not a time to whine about what we don’t have. The information here could only be put together by a remoaner or some individuals who has no care or concerns for Britain. This video will give sucker to those in Europe who’s abiding interest is to punish Britain for having the temerity to leave the sinking ship. Should we be surprised, and to think we called them friends. But the failed experiment was an obvious outcome, what nation state willingly gives up power?.

I don't understand why these 'continuity agreements' are being treated as a sort of 'gotcha' against the Brexit argument. If the EU trade deals already in place suited our needs just fine, I don't see why we should demand changes to them simply for the sake of making changes. Besides, now we are free to pursue our own trade policy, we can always seek to renegotiate them in the future. Can't people just be happy that we're at least getting these trade deals?

The best would be if UK would lower tariffs for Africa nations in terms of food and vegetables it would lower the prices in the market and would force EU to lower tariffs on UK-goods to be an competition with the new goods that would float the market
I hope UK will use his brain and the opportunity to lower prices for the consumer because I have the feeling UK still favors EU goods and products over the other nations
I would lower tariffs on products where EU competes with China and USA for high end products to lower food & vegetables I would lower the tariffs on africa , south america and asia nations overall so without tariffs EU could never compete with the new competitors
The EU would massive market share in the UK therefore influence the UK would lower his trade deficit and the prices would sink the british consumer would spare money on the same product therefore its a win win situation for the UK
EU will throw the products they would produce for UK into garbage and they would lose there

The Tories are not competent enough to negotiate a decent trade deal, most of these are rollover deals. The only skill Boris has is reinventing reality, he learned that from Trump

UK will always be OK with trade. Hope Italy leave, since join8ng the EU they have gone down hill. Why should the EU Tell Italy how much wine to make, milk and now they say our diet is bad and not to buy certain products, yet French cheese is ok! God Bless UK, best thing that they done, EU and member states are just worried, especially those non Brits who live in the UK, at the end of the day, they are in the UK because the UK offers things their country of origin could not! France now can continue their love affair with Germany,Lol.

Ahh, my favourite brexit cope spin channel.
Tldr sweats profusely as he decides between two buttons. One is labelled "Brexit is damaging and bad because the UK will miss out on all the great trade agreements of the EU." and "brexit is bad because the UK secured the same trade agreements that it had in the EU but didn't gain anything past that as of yet."
@mrmooshoo8380
December 31, 2023 at 5:41 pm
The fact that countries are happy to roll over deals that we had within the EU and we haven't lost important aspects that membership gave us should be celebrated. Rather than being negative that we don't gain anything look to the future some more. Before these deals it was all about how NO ONE would want to deal with us and how much we would lose by leaving the EU. Any deal small or large is just potential for bigger and better things to come in the future and it's something that we will directly decide without interference or control from 27 different nations.
