Donald Trump has recently been attacking the World Health Organisation, blaming the WHO for the continued outbreak. This has raised the question, are Trump’s concerns and complaints valid? Or is the President just trying to deflect from his own record?

One thing I wonder about Taiwan's warning is "was COVID-19 even in Taiwan at that point?" Why would they trust a government's information about a disease in territory it doesn't control when they have data from the government that actually does control that territory?

Looking at that "no clear evidenxe of human-to-human transmission" tweet, I see they just said that "the Chinese authorities" didn't find any clear evidence. They didn't endorse the claim independentally. It doesn't matter if they're pro-China or anti-China if the epidemic was in China and they were relying on only what the Chinese government allowed them to hear.

1:10 That breakdown of the Supreme governing body makes the claim of domination by China strange, since China is clearly underrepresented per capita.

It's pretty obvious that we had forewarning of this virus from January and in IMO, WHO were not the ones being slow to take corrective actions. Their jobs are to report on the data. It's up to political leaders to head the warnings and take the necessary steps to prevent an outbreak from striking their citizens.

Trump is a good example of a world leader being more concerned about the nation's economic and political standings than the welfare of the people. He's been dismissive and unwilling to exercise any kind of responsibility around covid since the start. Passing the buck and leaving the necessary decisions to each state's governors.

The WHO has virtually no power, even less than the UN security council. They can't force members to do things. They can shame people though. But shaming China in the WHO doesn't do much, since China doesn't respect international organizations to begin with. China claims they infringe their "sovereignty" by taking a position on some issue.

So your video said April 2009, but you said in the audio swine flu was late 2019. Slight slip up if you aren't paying attention you can easily be mislead

The whistleblower doctors were noble in their effort but any government would shut them up.
Causing a mass panic as the severity of the disease is being investigated by the WHO is a bad idea. And if these rumours did turn out to be real as it did in this case, many potential carriers would have fled the region to return to their homes breaching containment. There's a logic to these things.
Cover up to any extent is bad but I don't think China had done any worse than any other countries, especially the US given their heinous track records.

This channel couldn't be more condescending if it tried. It reminds me of the British chidren's TV programme Newsround, except it is less professional and more biased. The 'Orange Man Bad' theme gets awfully tedious. There are very good reasons for criticising the WHO that have nothing to do with anything Trump has said about them. It is headed by a man who was part of a corrupt regime.

    December 30, 2023 at 9:12 pm

Everything you said in the video in defense of the WHO is a lie. Whether by intent or not it doesn't matter. Get your shit together,

  20. @Cortexsaga

    December 30, 2023 at 9:12 pm

you said during the time between them saying it was a public health emergency and naming it a pandemic they told people to take suitable precautions. I have to wonder why you would say this when its verifiably false. Lets take the US for example, during this time they were telling people in the US not to wear masks, and even told this to both the state department and the CDC which caused them spout the same idiocy. And it wasn't just the US that was given this false information. This is a verifiable thing, and you can do so on the same platform you are using. The WHO gave bad advice, for a reason which we don't understand and has lied about China having the virus under control multiple times. Again just search on this platform to verify this.

  21. @leoperez6737

    December 30, 2023 at 9:12 pm

Something intrigues me… If Taiwan made that warning to the WHO they were not sending that type of information to the US despite they are their most important ally

  22. @bakerszonee6672

    December 30, 2023 at 9:12 pm

I would like to correct on the point that China was trying to suppress the information is NOT TRUE. Dr Li WenLiang who 'warned the public' on 30 Dec was a text message to his colleagues and his family and not the general public. He was reprimanded for spreading misinformation because he claimed that the hospital has cases of SARS, which obviously wasn't. Also, he wasn't 'silenced' but was gagged.

The report on the discovery of the virus was made in 27 Dec by Dr Zhang Jixian, who was the first person to make the diagnosis and insist on reporting the epidemic. She was the first to sound the alarm for the prevention work of the virus.

The whole idea that he was somehow a whistleblower and that China was trying to suppress information is trying to politicise the issue.

His text message and the paper he received from the Chinese authorities can be searched online if you want to verify.

Give China more praise please 😂

  24. @briannado4994

    December 30, 2023 at 9:12 pm

Trump is informed and goes off the information he is given. The WHO is another corrupt waste of American tax dollars just as the UN is. If anyone listens to this shit and believes you they are the problem. Your just spreading your opinions not actual information.

  25. @mookosh

    December 30, 2023 at 9:12 pm

I disagree with your presentation of the narrative. There was a lot of noise and you gathered some data points from the noise to paint a picture which sterilized the failures of WHO and portrayed trump as ignoring good advice.

The WHO exists to be alarmist. We COMPLAINED when the WHO "overreacted" but we didn't cut its funding. It should be more than happy to be criticized for being alarmist than for missing a pandemic. The cost of a false negative is death here, signal detection should be more sensitive!

I appreciate that at least you are honest in explaining how China bears special responsibility for creating this crisis

My major complaint regarding the who is how much it parroted Chinese views without critique. It is ENTIRELY their fault for reporting Chinese data thst could have been rubbish. They LEGITIMIZED Chinese propaganda. They reject Taiwan's GOOD information to support Chinese political interest.

You keep making excuses in the latter half of the video on the pro-china bias. Political pragmatism that operates as "legitimizing Chinese lies" is a pro Chinese bias. That's not a matter of opinion. It's not pragmatic to signal boost lies. China should have been excoriated from day one for its handling of this crisis, no different than any other nation that commits human rights atrocities.

The fact that our health agency is playing politics and part of that politicking is pandering to China is clear unabashed pro-china bias. If our health agency is going to be a political agency, then why should America finance it? America may as well just re-route that money to a domestic agency that will at the very least be pro-US

ROFL trump screwed up now wants to blame others.
Also why are we still listening to Trump on this, he just needs to shut up and let experts handle it.

    HE is not a expert.
HE screwed up, get over it.
HE is killing people even now, by telling people to go ahead and inject cleaning solution to fight covid 19
WHY are we still listening to him, as far as i can see (again) Trump should just shut up and do as HE is told to do by the experts.

NO NO NO. For we know who are behind all of them. (Gates, Fauci etc). Family Planning (Abortion and Depopulation and Vaccines – Mandatory – no freedom of choice), Pharma, World Wealth Organisation. Centre of Infectious Diseases. Anyone who invents a product or medicine is stifled, as patents are controlled by the elite and finance. Who steal their ideas as their own.
Only BIG Corporates (check them out) are allowed to stay open during lockdown. Middle to small businesses will collapse, even some smaller Corporate Companies, do only the Big Corporates can run everything. Virus is to cover up their true Agenda. (Highly Qualified Doctors and Scientists who are not afraid to speak out (our threatened) are speaking out against this SHAM. They will not be silenced). WAKE UP Humanity. Mandatory Vaccines WORLDWIDE. No vac (cine), no travel, no work, no school or education, no job, no car, or bank account, no loans etc etc. WAKE up WORLD.

  33. @thomaslange4447

    December 30, 2023 at 9:12 pm

The US share of the world wide GDP is 24%-25%. If their share of WHO payments is 15% they are not paying to much, they are cheapskates. If you have the economical power, you also have an obligation. Of cause the same is true for China (15% of wotld wide GDP). The poor countries around the world have to pay a higher share than the rich countries (comapred to GDP) and the rich countries earn additional money with overpriced medicine later on. There is absolutely no argument to be made that the US reduce their payments.

You say you can swap your book for another one, but it is not at all clear how to do this. Anyone else have the same problem?

  35. @poi2lkj3mnb

    December 30, 2023 at 9:12 pm

Saying "China" like it is one actor with a single interest and united policy is very reductionist. CCP officials in the province of Wuhan clearly tried to cover there assess by having the doctor arrested. This is not the same as "China" hiding the virus. Imagine holding the president responsible for the actions of the California DA, it's fucking nonsense.
