At the start of each parliamentary session, the government gets an opportunity to share their agenda with the people. The Queen’s Speech is their chance to list their plans and direct parliament forward. In the second Queen’s Speech in a matter of months, Johnson outlined his government’s new agenda in a speech which has been described as radical.

Just a Quick Note: I've responded to a few comments, but I thought I'd just pin this comment to settle the discussion. The title of the video describes the speech as 'radical', a claim that comes from Johnson himself. After the speech, Johnson spoke to the Commons and commented that it was "most radical Queen's Speech in a generation". Originally this clip was included in the video but was cut for time. Us using the phrase in the title isn't necessarily us agreeing with him we're just reflecting how the government framed the speech; something the BBC, ITV, HuffPost and the Independent also did in their headlines.

Even Quicker Note: I know I spelt neutral wrong, sorry about that

All of this takes place as the UK dives headlong from a currently stagnant economy into a deep and lasting Brexit driven recession.

This is conservative? What is ‘conservative’ about expanding socialized medicine, denying the human right of self-defense (knife control), and hobbling an economy with radical environmentalist policies?

To each their own. If this is what Briton’s want, this is what they deserve, and more power to them. As a bit of an Anglophile, I enjoyed the UK civics lesson, but I thank God my ancestors (Flanniken’s, Ivey’s, Martin’s, Hodge’s, Lynch’s, and Carter’s) chose to risk travel to the colonies, later United States, and Texas rather than remain in Britain and Northern Ireland.

Ok ok I think I'm getting the hang of this. If a person with a gold stick comes in to Parliament then it means you are being prorogued. But if the stick is black then one of you is being taken hostage and the rest are summoned for a speech? Am I missing anything here? Are there any other scepter colors that mean other things that we here in the uncivilized word should know about? What happens if the stick is red?
