I think people are forgetting Ed Miliband was supposedly 15 points ahead of David Cameron for 1 year according to YouGov yet Dave beat him quite comfortably.

I am going to have a stab at why I think that no matter what Sunak does he cannot save the UK Conservative party come the next General Election before having watched the video.

I think by the time Boris Johnson had resigned the writing was already on the wall for the Tories, they had already been through 3 Prime Ministerial candidates in 12 years – All that before the utter shambles that was the 49 days of Liz Truss – but even then the Conservatives had lost all credibility as a political party because they changed their leader so many times they had become farcical.

So, even before Sunak even took over the political tide had already turned against the Conservatives in favour of Sir Keir Starmer and his Labour shadow cabinet.

The Tory’s will lose the next General Election.Last week, the Chancellor in
his Budget, said at the end of the year that Inflation will be 2.9%.It is now
about 11%.It will never happen. The Tory’s have no Idea.

The Tories are in a Tacitus trap – they could magically become the best govt ever (lol) and they would still lose in the next election, people don’t trust them and down with their shit.

After looking at that data, I thought of a theory called the 'overpromising' theory. It's the idea that a party that does well in opinion polls MAY overpromise on their manifesto plans due to the high ratings in polls, which may lead the to under deliver in government. Not saying that Labour will overpromise and underdeliver, just something to watch out for within politics more broadly.

I want Labour in power because I'm trans (I don't think I need to explain more) but I also align myself with the relatively far-right so I'm very torn, though I do think Labour needs a chance to shake up the system a little bit and get the Tories moving again.

i can answer this better than the video: they aren't right wing enough for the right but are too right wing for the left. they represent nobody

Because of the amount of power that the Tories have in our media and establishment. Their victory in the next election is still achievable despite being so far behind in the polls now. Cameron had luck from the Scottish referendum making labour look weak and then in desperation promised an EU referendum.
Tories will always be seeking for a way to fracture the opposition even it it means destroying the nation. Scotland also has a wall of seats that they don't want to lose to labour. So I predict another Scottish independence referendum will take place to marginalize labour and for the media to sell the Tories as the party of stability in England, stoke nationalism in Scotland and keep labour in the shade. This is one of the only cards they have left to play in order to get their credibility back.

Sunak is a huge step towards the left when compared to Truss, yet the polling hasn't really reacted to that for some reason. He's not even personally making many HUGE mistakes and appeared to have a strong record pre-PM. Almost all the issues affecting him are coming from other MPs' controversies, and even then, he's dealing with everything swiftly as it happens.

The economy is relatively stable (it's not plummeting to a disaster like with Truss), and everything related to the economy is actually slowly improving, given the circumstances. I really feel like people are stuck in a perpetual, irrational hate of Sunak and nobody seems to be paying attention to any of the positives.

It's kind of a shame that Labour aren't really doing anything that I'd say is particularly impressive, yet they're somehow heading towards a landslide victory.

The Tories might just win back the public if they get the death penalty back in.
As the new chairman is backing it.
I for one will vote for them if they bring back the death penalty and I think more will follow
