A friend in Australia sent some honeycomb chocolates. I'd never had honeycomb before, but I LOVE it!

I make my own granola regularly. What makes granola extra good is crisp rice cereal (makes it lighter), crystallized ginger (makes it spicy), toasted nuts, toast the oats until browned, and finally add dried cherries (or dried cranberries) AFTER baking the granola.

The only thing I'd say let's you down on it being gourmet is the fact it's such a large, healthy portion and making it 4 times smaller would have made it 10 times as gourmet.

You guys need to do a redo of episodes like these. If you were to use the same ingredients etc., how would you get it near perfect.

Going back through some of the older vids, as YT serve them up to me again…. To me, this was not a gourmet version, but a completely different dish (dessert?) How many people would go through the "trouble" of making this at a time when you just want a bowl of cereal before heading out the door in the morning, or coming home late in the evening and want something easy before crashing out cold? Still fun to watch the chaos 🙂

Jamie is such a pissy little shit sometimes 😂

I love how Jamie has practically coined the phrase “don’t get bored, don’t get bored, don’t get bored!” because he knows he’ll lose concentration and everything will go Pete tong 😂😂

Granola is not humble, it's basically the most gourmet cereal option already
I was hoping for supermarket basics cereal

Man the sass and infighting was hilarious in this. Great video.

This video is why we watch this channel. Has anyone in the history of cookery shows put 3 normal people into a room and let them improvise like this to make a dish. Absolute genius

  14. @khenzanimyers

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

I think it was ok. Abit of cleaning ip and it would be ok

  15. @michaelswain868

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

I would have made a ridiculously overpriced granola out of some stupidly priced nuts probably all ethically sorced and organic and served it with donkey's milk… At the side, I would have served the granola with a nice tall glass of Acqua di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani. Water so expensive it makes that water you lot reviewed from Chile look like a bargain.

  16. @noahashworth641

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

I think it would have been cool to do a double chocolate layer bowl with crème brûlée theme so custard in the middle of the layers with caramel shards and honey comb as a topping. Not sure what to fill with but breaking a chocolate bowl to reveal custard layer between sounds heavenly

  17. @linebrunelle1004

Gourmet granola, a la Canadian Rockies: Natural greek yougurt (Liberte brand), warm maple syrup (real Canadian, not fake), blueberries, blackberries, crowberries, saskatoon berries (whatever is in season)
Warm up granola in a pan with a bit of butter, pour in maple syrup, berries, serve immediately on a bowl with yogurt on top.
    absolutely gourmet

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

oh god. you are Brits. Messed up English and even worse French. 😏😉

  19. @LilianaKali

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

If these boys are "normal" then I'm below normal and I don't know what to think about that. How exactly are they defining "normal"? Anyone who doesn't have chef training? Didn't go to culinary school? Cuz I'm hella impressed by these normals.

  20. @philoctetes_wordsworth

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

From the US: what I see is Muesli, not granola 0:57 . There are no bunched-up nuggets. It is all loose. It is not hard at all to make a bowl of muesli or a bowl of granola gourmet. I am very disappointed in this episode. Your upgrades are describing boxed cereal I had in France, but in a special bowl, or served with goo.
The title is disingenuous. What you are asking them to do is transform muesli, not make cereal gourmet. I am truly disappointed. 4:31 This is most absolutely, definitely NOT making cereal gourmet. THIS IS TRANSFORMING MUESLI INTO SOMETHING ELSE ALTOGETHER. Very, very disappointed. I am struggling not to shut it down, and go away…yep. Gonna shut this down, and go away.

Somebody should study this episode, the boys worked really well here.

i only JUST realised that on the pizza in the intro is missing a leaf of basil on the 4th slice and now it anoys the hell out of me

Was Barry subtly giving a middle finger after his jelly got called out?

  28. @wendellgee11

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

I would've put syrup and bacon in the granola mix, rolled it in a crepe, then served with fruit.

  29. @emilysetton7142

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

the cheap non-chocolate (nasty) candies that many people don't like or tinned sardines for the next one

  30. @abigailgerlach5443

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

I'd have taken a little of the plain granola, mixed it into wild rice and a bit of chicken stock, added sage, salt and pepper, and used it as a stuffing for poultry.

  31. @Silverwilg

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

Something just rubbed me wrong seeing the bowl get broken at the start of tasting it by Ben.

ok ebbers who took the jam out of ur do nut ?

  33. @charlottematou5896

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

Wait, you use Lindt chocolate for cooking? What's up with that?

  34. @chaiandmuchness

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

If you'd made it smaller, it would certainly fit the gourmet aesthetic

  35. @thecoldpoet

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

Popping the balloon at 10:10 is the greatest thing to happen since the last Pass it On

  36. @leosmith7511

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

I love seeing the guys working together on things.

  37. @suola7948

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

While the dish looks very yummy I wouldn't categorise it as gourmet. It's more lake they made cereal into a dessert and I don't think you are supposed to change the time you'd eat the food when trying to make it gourmet.

The video has been very entertaining so far though! I especially loved Mike telling Jamie not to get bored😂

  38. @s_nunyabiznez

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

Ehr mehr gerd, that would be a baller dessert!

  39. @beansNcables

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

This is far better than Ebbers previous make it gourmets. They have stuck more closely to the brief

  40. @stecky87

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

If someone asks for cereal to be made gourmet, I'd still expect the end result to be something I'd eat for breakfast, but that's not what this is . . .

  41. @davinperry5648

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

I would like to see you guys attempt a Flummery

  42. @phoschnizzle826

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

This was a fun outing. Now, here's a concept that might also be fun – elevate that most pedestrian of dishes, Franks and Beans, to a gourmet level, and do it as a face off, pro vs. normals.

    December 30, 2023 at 9:16 pm

    Please do crisp sandwhiches next!!
