Pack as many people as possible onto one plane cz that reduces the overall carbon footprint, but we wouldn't want to weigh the plane down with unnecessary extra t-shirts…oh please 🙄😅

U want to fight climate change? Go and live in Uttar Pradesh, India.
Start living like the Mennonites in North America and the Amerindians in South America 😷

Bullshit😠. Just talk. You want to change? Then go back to basics. use sail boats to travel from one country to a next if you crossing the oceans.
If you on a continent use horse or bull carts to cross countries OR just walk or bike.
Stop talking shit. No one is doing anything to improve anything 😀

In a few decades in 2040, servers farms will be responsible for 14% of the worlds emissions. In 2025 it will be 3.2%
Yet all what a certain swede can do is bare scuff at people who fly. How dare she?

Flight shaming wil soon be web-shaming or stream-shaming or SoMe-shaming and the best part: deleted doesnt mean deleted. What was written 10 years ago is stored at some server farm with inefficient cooling.

Or to shorten it: you do more harm with SoMe, streaming and using the internet for porn.
Quiting is not easy. But a certain swede and the celebrities who went to google camp can start.

So the BBC flies a reporter to Stockholm to interview Greta
Are there no reporters in Sweden capable of doing the interview and feeding it?

Nice video ! I have a tip : do you remember hidrogen cars ? It would be great if you could make a video about the possibility of having hidrogen powered planes – a friend of mine who is am engineer said that this would really be a possibility but not enough companies are looking into it.

If anything it is these obese people that should be charged extra. Someone that weighs 400 pounds doesn't pay any more than someone who weighs 150 pounds!

Do some research on carbon. It’s different than any other greenhouse gas and has properties that make it the least worrisome of all the others. It’s not the great danger its made out to be.

Laughable, pathetic and weak attempt to reduce your carbon footprint with these ideas.

Choose vegan options on the flight, before and after the flight. According to the UN a plant based diet has the greatest impact on an individual level. Or yeah, don't fly, take the train if possible…

Is another deadly flood coming to Nepal? | BBC News

China has warned there is a “high risk” that a lake which formed after the recent landslide near the Nepal-Tibet border may breach its banks, causing a second flood downstream.

The warning comes after Wednesday’s deadly flash flood in the same area which has killed more than 500.

Scientists say it was triggered by the collapse of a mountain glacier into a river.

Did Emily ruin Paris? | The Global Story

Published

on

The Netflix show Emily in Paris has been lauded by French President Emmanuel Macron, who presented its creator, Darren Star, with the prestigious Légion d’Honneur last year.

“You make France shine across the world,” Macron said.

Many critics disagree. The programme, about a hapless American marketing executive living a glamorous and romantic fantasy in the French capital, is due to return for its sixth and final season later this year.

Some Parisians have complained that the series is full of cliches. And they worry that the tourism boost created by the show is changing the city they live in.

How do blockbuster TV series and iconic films reshape our cities, for better or worse?

The Global Story host, Tristan Redman, heads to the fifth arrondissement, while producers Hannah Moore and Xandra Ellin get the picture in London and New York.
