to be completely honest, I don't think the surgery was worth it, I don't think it was needed at all, yes his face wasn't at it's best condition, but at least it was genuine, it was his face. unless there are other reasons other than cosmetic

From what I've read most of these extreme injury remedies and surgeries are military funded because a lot of extreme injuries are caused by weapons. We all need to appreciate what we do have not covet what we want but don't need. His attitude is phenomenal and I imagine his heart is too.

His daughter is right. He's an experiment. It's why medicine is a "Practice" He's going to be on meds his whole life. While he needs them to prevent his body from rejecting the donor face, who is to say what the side effects of those meds will do to the rest of his body. Once people are dependent on healthcare you're trapped

YES!!!!! I can also relate to what Robert said!!! I was about to drown to death under the power of a rapid/waterfall when I remember not being able to go up for air any longer as I was being tossed around in circles. I was about to inhale deeply under water, when a bright Light hit my right arm and I heard The Word of Lord speak to me. It my name twice before saying this; "hang on (or hang in there), calmer waters are ahead, you will get up and walk out of here." I felt this peace and comfort too! As Robert explained! He had to have given me breath in order to make it, and His blessed words really gave me hope and comfort! I remember thinking to myself underwater still, "I will walk out of here?" That was such an amazing supernatural even for me! Today, I have been Born Again now and live for Jesus! If I would have died that day…I would have die in my sins. Praise be to God who has love and patience for us sinners. I don't share this testimony much at all, because this world does not seem to care or believe others experiences….but still, I have this love and motivation to go out and share The Gospel of Salvation in hopes that some may hear and believe!!!!! JESUS IS INDEED ALIVE!!! IF YOU BELIEVE THAT HE TRULY DIED AND ROSE AGAIN TO PAY YOUR SIN DEBT IN FULL, PLEASE REPENT AND CALL ON HIM FOR SALVATION!!!! BLESSINGS!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I THINK THE FACE TRANSPLANT WAS TOO RISKY AND HIS DAUGHTER CONCERNS ARE CORRECT, HE TAKES AROUND 35 PILLS A DAY AND OTHER STUFF, NOT GOOD, I WOULD HAVE STAYED WITH MY FACE AND GOTTEN A RECONSTRUCTION OF MY LIPS , I'VE SEEN IT DONE, THEN SOME LASER TO SMOOTH THE SKIN SOME, AND CALLED IT A DAY. THIS FACE TRANSPLANT WAS TOO INVASIVE AND RISKY AS HELL, EVEN AFTER SURGERY AND BEYOND, NOT WORTH IT

Respect for the hero who saved Robert Chelsea. My first patient was an African American man named Willy. He had 3rd degree burns on 80 percent of his body. His right hand was intact. I held Willy's hand and talked to him. He was able to move his hand slightly. I hope I brought him some comfort before he passed. That was in 1969. I adore Robert for being brave and strong. I hope he gets used his face and realizes he is still Robert. I hope more African Americans become organ donors to help people who need it.

US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News

Published

on

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.

“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.

In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News

Published

on

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.

He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.

Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.

Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.

The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News

Published

on

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.

Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.

President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.
