The deficit is a joke, the UK except London runs a deficit, that's why the UK has to borrow so much, unfortunately this is down to poor governance in the past.

From a purely factual basis Scottish tax revenue from 1980-2014 provided a surplus due to oil, a surplus of nearly £1 trillion, yet somehow Scotland being allocated charges for repayments on debt interest as part of GERS. Scotland can't be asked to contribute to debt repayment for a period of 34 years where it provided a surplus and national debt increased tenfold.

Total liability would be anywhere between zero and £50 Bil, far from the crippling figures some would have you believe. If in doubt look into how non fixed assets are distributed when a nation splits, sadly it seems no one wants to actually do any research themselves and would rather be spoon fed misinformation by the mainstream media.

Scotland has control over its taxes? You should have checked with HMRC before you made that wrong statement. You concentrate on a unionist view without balancing with a seperatist. Take a look at how SMPs are treated in westminster. Compare that to Irish and Welsh.

60% of all Scottish trade is to countries in the UK… Only 18% is to the EU

The £12.6bn that Westminster spends for us is actually not on the NHS… they spend it on our behalf on defence, for example the waste of money nuclear submarines they so kindly placed in our most populous city, and also pays the UKs debt off!
So in reality Scotland spends exactly what it makes in taxes!

I’m all for Scottish independence as long as the U.K. flag doesn’t change too much. They’ll only change the blue to black so that’s cool! Good luck Scotland! Don’t let Sturgeon fuck it up!
