It's funny when people talk about a degree not being the only path to success. Would they go into private schools and try to convince them that they should be plumbers and brickies instead of going to Oxford or Cambridge? Or is this just an attempt to keep the plebs out of University.

Not all degree’s are worthless, but many of the subjects being studied today are…….. unsurprisingly, many of those chosen by girls.

Another statistic being pushed by those with an agenda is that women/girls now outnumber boys/men at Uni, but the shift has done little to change the average earnings of the genders….. it would seem boys and men simply make better choices.

University doesn't make sense. I can just watch lectures online, read books, and research and educate myself from home. Almost nothing compared to £20,000+ debt.

Pretty sure that CS Lewis and his lot were all veterans; not leetle kids going to college: sombody correct me. Also I think any loan forgiveness should be assessed against the Administrators and senior professors.

40 years ago getting a degree was to show you could apply your self in almost any field the dumbing down of degree status is as good as saying you are qualified to becoming a barrista.

Many will end up in HR departments, ensuring that only those that have also been indoctrinated into the woke cult get any institutional jobs.
Better do as commanded by the cult though, or you'll never be rid of that debt slavery 😉

  20. @TchHry

    December 26, 2023 at 11:07 am

The schools have made most degrees worthless.

  21. @davehallett810

Why go to college or university just to become more dumb and be brainwashed into hating your own country 🤔

Andy Burnham’s Britain: What will the country look like under the ‘King of the North’s’ leadership?

Published

on

By

What will an Andy Burnham government *actually* look like?

We dissect the radical “Manchesterism” blueprint Burnham wants to bring to the heart of government. From establishing a decentralized “No. 10 North” nerve centre to launching a massive post-war council housing push, Burnham is promising to radically rewire Britain.

However, critics are already raising red flags. With national debt soaring, can his sweeping plans for the renationalisation of transport and utilities survive contact with the markets? More importantly, is Burnham pulling a “bait-and-switch” on the British electorate by abandoning the very centrist manifesto that Labour was elected on under Keir Starmer?

We fast-forward to 2030 to look at the balanced reality of Burnham’s Britain—the major public sector shifts, the potential tax squeeze on the middle class, and the structural friction that could define his premiership.

Is he the saviour the working class has been waiting for, or a Westminster insider in regional clothing? Watch to find out.
