Ukraine rapidly expanding its ‘Army of Drones’ – BBC News
Ukraine says it is ramping up its own production of drones as it struggles to cope with demand for the technology on the front line.
The government has relaxed import laws and scrapped taxes for drone parts and equipment.
The expansion is being funded by a successful fundraising campaign called the Army of Drones.

A US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent has shot a man in his car in the Bronx in New York City while the man’s five-year-old son sat in the backseat.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which runs ICE, confirmed an officer discharged his weapon while attempting to arrest a “criminal illegal alien” on Thursday.
The man, later identified as 28-year-old Oscar Belgal, was alive and at a local hospital, officials said.
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the ICE officer fired “multiple rounds” into the car with a child inside, calling it an “unconscionable and incredibly serious situation”. The BBC has contacted DHS for comment about Mamdani’s remarks.
The DHS said Belgal was from the Dominican Republic and had “a prior criminal conviction for grand larceny and multiple prior arrests for assault, robbery, possession of drugs and weapons possession”.
It also claimed Belgal was associated with a transnational criminal group.

Christa Pike: 911 calls reveal chaos after failed execution and other stories | Global News Podcast
Authorities in the US state of Tennessee have released dramatic phone calls that were made to the emergency services after the botched execution of Christa Pike. They show there was chaos and confusion as emergency responders tried to work out whether a request for help in the execution chamber was genuine and not a prank call, allegedly leading to a delay in the inmate being taken to hospital. Christa Pike, who killed Colleen Slemmer in 1995, was given two lethal injections that failed to kill her. Her case is now in uncharted territory as she is thought to be the only person to have survived an execution attempt by lethal injection.

Drones are the key to civilized war. Unmanned weapons can be played out against each other, without the loss of human life. A revolutionary breakthrough for humanity that forbids killing humans in wars. A set theater of war above a vast ocean with set boundaries. Drones destroy each other until one party runs out. Manned means of war forbidden. All countries give 10% to a peace force that makes sure the loser does not attack civilians of the winner. In Roman time, the winners took slaves, in the middle Ages raping women was fair game, in recent wars we abolish chemical and biological weapons. Is it not time to act civilized and make an end to all the suffering, bloodshed and destruction wars bring about?

Why do you call "Ukrainian militants" an army?
There has been no army in Ukraine since 2014, when there was an armed seizure of power by internal terrorists.
The "army" of Ukraine consists of mercenaries who came from all over the world, they all have ultra-Nazi views, wear a swastika, draw a "German cross" on military equipment, as was the case with Nazi Germany in 1943. All these "militants" are united in battle groups, formed on the basis of the fascist detachments of the German army in 1943. Zelensky even calls the detachments the names of SS combat detachments, for example, "Edelweiss".
All these mercenaries are war criminals, many of them were in the Taliban and ISIS. …many mercenaries committed such war crimes that they were even banned by Ukraine itself, for example, "Tornado", "Azov", "Kozak" and others.
Don't call Ukraine's war criminals an army!
Ukraine is a terrorist country.
