The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.
In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.
He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.
Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.
Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.
The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.
It comes after another night of strikes between the US and Iran, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps saying it hit two UAE tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted US facilities in Jordan and Bahrain.
The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.
Meanwhile, the US military says it completed strikes on targets aimed at degrading “Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping” – Iranian state media reports three people were killed.

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.
Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.
President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

How is raising the age gonna do anything? Do crazy people stop being crazy once they hit 21? Make stricter laws and make it harder to purchase one. I.e. mandatory gun safety class and issue a license like driving if you want to carry one.

Look at the thin margin that Trump won the election with. Now look at all those votes that he won't have in the next election. Look at every bump stock in America that Trump is wanting to ban. Each bump stock represents a vote he lost, and there are millions of these devices. No person is gonna vote for someone that wants to confiscate their property. Trump also plans to ban these rapid fire trigger systems like the binary trigger systems that allow a semi auto to shoot almost as fast as full auto. There are millions upon millions of these trigger systems on people's AR's and AK's, so there goes millions more votes for Trump. Remember, the people that own these devices all voted for Trump because he said our 2nd amendment was safe with him. Trump is also going to lose millions of votes from gun owners that don't own these devices. In the end, his executive order banning these things will be struck down and reversed by the courts, so all Trump accomplished was to lose millions of votes that he needed to win again. His ego has him thinking that he can do anything and his supporters will stick with him. He even said he could shoot someone on the street and not lose his supporters, but he's finding out how wrong he was. You start trying to ban anything related to guns, and it's political suicide. Trump has just committed political suicide. Go look at the gun forums and you can see how pissed people are about his stupid executive order. Also, how many millions of 18,19, and 20 year olds will vote for Trump, since he's trying to strip their 2nd amendment rights to own guns? Zero. Trump should have listened to Steve Bannon that warned him, he'd lose his base if he proposes gun regulations.

The NRA is just one of many gun groups. Most people are now flocking to the "Gun owners of America" group, because the NRA is advocating to ban our bump stocks, which Trump says he's gonna do with an executive order, since congress refuses to pass a law doing it. Trump is not a king that can make laws, and his little executive order will be struck down by the courts when the lawsuits start flying. When Trump betrayed the gun owners that elected him, he just ensured himself that he'll be a one term president. He now has zero chance of winning in 2020. Watch and see all the empty seats at his rallies next time.

I’ve heard that when having been asked about movie accuracy, they’ve commented that when people are shot they don’t fly around as one might see in a film, sometimes they don’t even notice they’ve been shot straight away, some people are very resilient, especially if under the influence of drugs or even just drunk, personally I can recall a number of situations where having become very intoxicated I’ve thrown myself around having lost the use of ones legs into all kinds of glass, brick walls and thorn bushes and not felt a thing

I have been think by though about whether AR weapons are required for home protection, and they might be, a 9mm is far from fatal, if in the dark or a panic you hit the home invader with a 9mm bullet I think the invader could easily still be aware enough to shoot the home owner, proper training is required with a 9mm where you shoot, hit, and then you would need to shoot twice into the chest and head immediately, if the home invader has a vest I’m not sure if a 9mm would be useful at all, opening an argument for correct use of a powerful rifle, which are very dangerous and may have other consequences such as harming other people in the home unintentionally
