I've never been able to use a mandolin without slicing my fingers, I could genuinely see myself using that All in One.

Jamie’s face on the keg machine. We know who is getting it.

I own that veggie slicer! It is wonderful when I need to do bulk slicing like cucumber for homemade pickles or potatoes for scalloped potatoes. The best thing is it is safe! You have to deliberately stick your fingers inside the machine to have contact with the blade. I have tried a number of mandolins over the years and this is the only one that hasn't cut me.

THAT is now sushi at all.
Actual sushi is just a piece of fish on rice.

I'm so mad at whatever white weirdo came up with the idea to construct your sushi in the kitchens of Atlantis. Like, yeah sure if I was handling rice with my hands I'd wet them in salty water while making onigiri or something so they wouldn't stick. But I wouldn't end up with squishy, mushed rice afterwards. You literally just need a very little bit of water on the surface, not sandwiching rice between soaking pieces of wood.
AND ITS SO EXPENSIVE FOR A BUNCH OF BLOCKS OF WOOD! ITS JUST LIKE, A WOODEN TUBE YOU SLIDE A WOODEN STICK THROUGH, HOW DO YOU JUSTIFY THE PRICE?

I have literally never been nauseated by a food or typically "normal" thing in the kitchen, but holy god almighty that sushi segment actually made me gag, its so fking soggy and the way it just oozes out and like.. slimes out. Jesussssss

The slicer is probably the one that comes closest to a "yes" for me. The rest for me are niche products that won't see frequent use in my kitchen.
The PerfectDraft is nice, but if there's no way to chill a second (and a third) keg other than in the machine's fridge, it fails at being a thing for parties. You're better off buying cans or bottles, and packing them in a large cooler with tons of ice.

yep i own the perfect draft 🙂

You should do a series of the normals working a prep shift at a fast food restaurant, a casual restaurant, and then a fine dining restaurant. That would be loads of fun

I really thought that last one was for making fries and they even had a potato on the side and didn't use it, so disappointed 🙁

love that slicer, better than me hurting myself on a mandolin (I would)
@TheOMT

That price of that beer keg machine is not even a semi expensive coffee machine and about the same size.
@Zelmel

With the benefit of hindsight from how much Kush has been on camera lately, I can only imagine how absolutely berserk and foul-mouthed Kush was behind the scenes on this one. It must have been hilarious!

We use the vegetable slicer often. Much faster to us and safer than a mandolin. Also surprisingly easy to clean after use.

Not to be "that guy" but the sushi maker is clearly not made from wood but rather bamboo. Which isn't a wood.

I just re-watched this episode again, and I just remembered that I have the same one but from Starfrit. I paid it $19.99 at a local store in 2021. I forget I have it sometimes and I use a knife to cut 🤭. I am not a beer fanatic, but I would buy the beer machine for when I have guests. You don't need a fridge to make the beer cold, which is a fantastic feature.
