“Tinderbox” conditions created by a long, hot, dry summer brought the worst wildfire season on record in 2026.
Dozens of homes were destroyed or damaged, huge areas of land burned, and one man died.
The UK government banned disposable barbecues, sent a wildfire alert to people’s mobile phones and made £97m available, and a wildfire summit is planned – but are we still behind the curve?

I dont understand why anyone watches BBC news anymore😂everyone should already know by now it is a propaganda platform. The Russian soldiers are doing what any American or British soldiers do in war, they survive at any means necessary. They never know the full story, they pay “witnesses” for their interviews, set up some weird looking Ukrainian soldier with a predator patch, tapout hat and goofy as looking 12 year old build, like are you guys are not seeing whats happening??!! Regardless if they kill civilians or not, at war they most of the times do. I just love how no one in here talking about what the 6 SEAL teams of the united states are into when they get deployed to their missions in Afghanistan, all their operations are covered. They get deployed to poor streets with barely any cameras and now most of Ukrainian war is recorded for everyone to see but everyone are still blind😂🫢
