On Monday, Labour tried to embroil the Conservatives in a scandal over Government Procurement Cards and what they perceived as unnecessary spending. But has Starmer levelled a major blow against the Tories? Or will this just get lost in the news cycle?

It seems pretty much a certainty that Andy Burnham will be the next British prime minister. Exactly when it happens depends on a few factors. We outline some of the reasons an early general election is likely.

Isn't it about time for a new political party to be formed in the UK, we need new blood to firmly grasp the reigns and lead us out of the shit that those damn Tories have created since they came into power over 12 years ago.
I can only answer for myself here but I don't have any trust for either the Tories or the Labour parties and I would like to see a new political party who will show the people of the uk exactly what they intend to do for us because I like so many people had lost any trust for those two parties years ago.

Yes, no reaction from the journalists in the pay of the rich with monies from this and other sources splashed on the same jurnalists. Then there are the monies being funnelled through from Russia in the billions also largely ignored by these journalists–with the odd honourable exception. Then there is Sunak with his blind trust in the tax havens and his shares in a Covid medication asked by Carol Vorderman if he has insider trading. Note he also signed the cheques from the £39 billion wasted–I mean used on failed equipement for Covid for Nurses and patients with £11 billion known to have been dodgy.Rishi refused to investigate. The orders for the PPS and other 'stuff' went through a private telephone No with access restricted to mates, friends and family of Toty Ministers Tory MPs. Figure this on simple mathematics. The last figure I heard from the German Government for Covid expenses of this kind is £800 million. Say it's gone up from them to a little over a billion or een a billion a half. The Geman provisions of this varied materials was higher thn the UK as there is a larger populstion in Germany AND my English friend living in Berlin tells me all of this is still bing provided in Germany. (He was shocked on his rerurn here to find he has to pay for everything to do with Covid in the UK.). So we spen £39 billion for th same equipement Germany spends at most a £billion on. Where did our 'spare' £38 Billion go? The penguins in the Zoo or the Tory Party MPs, relatives, mates, friends and hangers on? I know where I put my bets. Also Angela Raynors main request was for openness and transparency that Labour provides for it's MPs in a call in this time of great want to set an example. Man, you need to be shamed by the lousy joutnlism you display here. This is your calling as journalists to reveal the workings of power. You shit the bed mate. Spoiled a suite of beds.

Labour critique of the House of Lords is moot because they support and defend First Past the Post, which many critics has started seriously critiquing as even democratic in practice at this point.

How thick do Labour have to be to think a spending scandal will stick when the covid party scandal has barely stuck? People want a progressive Labour offering solutions to cost of living and what they get is these pithy nothings that centrism is so good at.

December 22, 2023 at 12:25 am
Because old conservative Rupert Murdoch controls like 60% of the UKs media? That old James Bond movie was about the UK, but the powers that be failed to address the issue, just like BJ failed to investigate foreign (Russian) influence in the election that brought him to power as well as in Brexit. Londongrad and Brexit did not happen in a vacuum. The UK does not have free media nor a functioning democracy nor being free from foreign influence. Maybe you @tldrNews should make a video about that.

Absolute peanuts and laughably minuscule compared with the Spanish "black cards". How about a report on the corruption and fascism of the C21 in the Spanish government. Goes way beyond anything you'll find in Hungary, Turkey or Poland
