Sunak should never have been PM in the first place. Liz Truss was ousted after some very underhand goings on so the WEF's chosen one could be slotted in. When he was Chancellor, before the pandemic, money was tight and we had to have some measure of austerity. Lo and behold, we have a global pandemic and suddenly Sunak finds billions of pounds to waste on furlough schemes and suspect contracts for PPE to his mates. Now, post pandemic, he wants the money he wasted back, by raising taxes.

Let's remember, Tory MPs showed how out of touch they were with their own members. In the first leadership election (after B Johnson resigned as PM) the MPs voted in the exact reverse order of the members. They voted for R Sunak, the members favoured Kemi Badenoch. They got Liz Truss as the favourite over Sunak! Then, after she failed (to deliver Conservative policies) it was a stick up to Sunak the job. They deserve what is coming, despite Jacob's defence.
