Israel confirms soldiers and civilians taken hostage by Palestinian militants – BBC News
At least 150 people are reported killed and 1,100 wounded in Israel after the Palestinian militant group Hamas launched its biggest attack in years.
Dozens of gunmen from Gaza infiltrated southern Israeli communities after dawn under the cover of heavy rocket fire.
They have taken both Israeli soldiers and civilians hostage, and some have been brought back to Gaza.
Israel has responded with a wave of air strikes on Gaza that have killed at least 232 people and wounded 1,600, the Palestinian health ministry said.

China has vowed to protect its interests after the US announced plans to widen economic sanctions against Iran and its trading partners, which include Beijing.
Foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian said China was firmly opposed to what it called “illegal unilateral sanctions” and would take “all necessary measures” to safeguard its rights.

It has been five years since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan, as western forces left, imposing their extreme, ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam on millions of people.
Their return to power brought relative peace to the country after two decades of war.
But Afghan women have been erased from public life. Girls are banned from school from the age of 12, and aren’t allowed to go to university.
Public parks are also off limits to women – and they can’t travel abroad without a male companion.

I would support Palestine in this conflict, if not a fact that Hamas is a religious, Islamic organization, not a neutral, nationalistic one, so they're no better than the Israelis. Either way, my condolences goes out to civilians on both sides of this conflict.

Guys, you need to understand what happened. Last Saturday, The hamas terror organization, came into Israel with huge amount of hot weapon , took over cities and villages, and slaughtered over 1300 people. They massacared them . They gang raped, the tortured people infront of their kids, the burnt kids alive, they burnt families alive, they cut babies heads while laughing and eating. They took innocent women, elders, kids and babies to Gaza as hostages. The people of Gaza were celebrating the attacks. The horror is inhuman. Israel went through a second holocaust. Just because these monsters want them dead.
