He's not even reducing debt. He's reducing debt as a % of GDP. He only has to grow the economy and debt as % of GDP falls. Debt isn't going anywhere.

Don't be fooled by this tory number fidging. Economy may be growing by their metric but thats been driven by the absolutely disgusting profits corporations are bringing in at working peoples expense disguised as a cost of living crisis. Hard working people, even those in skilled work can barely afford their mortgage, or energy some even food but dont you worry here at UK plc. business is a booming

The lives of the people in the UK hasn't changed one iota, so fudging the new GDP figures doesn't mean anything.

Britain as a country , is still an important Financial Hub ( excluding for the EU countries ) & a beautiful tourist destination !

UK is not in a critical location in terms of geopolitics and no need to worry too much .

Arguing with GDP – or: Tell me you don't know anything about economics, without telling me… Keynes still rotating in his grave, that anyone seriously argues with this. Or in simpler words of Samuelson: "If a man marries his maid, GDP falls."
