As a Chinese it literally shocks me to see Mike candid SALADS instead of just fruits. I don't think I will ever forget that.

I don’t normally leave bad anything but I think that James reflects what we all have an idea of British people would be if we don’t know them – snobby, uptight but lovely ❤

Cherry tomatoes, feta, zucchini, chilli flakes mixed with olive oil in the oven at 200 for 30 minutes. Mix with pasta. Delicious!

If you're going to candy fruit (or even salad) at home, have two water baths. One cold and one boiling. The cold water cools the pan just a little and stops it caramelising, the boiling water keeps it from solidifying. The water stops it going over 100°c and holds below the caramelisation temperature which is why you can't just put it back on the heat to keep it hot

done the sugar with strawberries about 20 years ago with a chef who owed a small boutique restaurant

put the fruit skewers on a drying/glazing rack and pour the sugar syrup over it. flip the fruit and coat the other side, hang to dry. just a thought i had watching the struggle. still probably not a perfect solution, but might allow you to coat more fruit at a time.

I thought that pasta feta dish on tik tok was awful !! I even added spices it was just yuck.

Feta in pasta is a trend now? Penne with caramlised red onions and feta was my speciality 20 years ago.

The feta pasta dish, has been a staple in Greek cuisine forever … not so new, as newly discovered. 😅

Ben, I literally just found another ginger. Bye honey. 🙁

You can also just crumble feta over pasta. Been doing that for thirty years. It's not the BEST way to eat pasta, but it's quick and easy and pretty damn tasty. Doesn't have to be feta, either, any white feta-type cheese that tastes nice will do.

Goes nice with polenta, as well.

Ordering the normals is really difficult, in terms of cooking ability I would say it would be Jamie, Mike then Barry, but I feel that Mike is a very intelligent cook because he knows the theory behind his recipes which the other normals rarely show

  15. @ethancampbell215

    December 17, 2023 at 11:16 pm

The feta pasta dish I think would be nice with a Mediterranean influence, might not be traditional flavours to go with pasta and feta, but introducing some roasted peppers onions and courgettes that are well seasoned with the creamy feta and pasta would create an incredible midweek dish that wouldn’t take long at all

I never realised that there was so much detail involved with chocolate 😂😂 I just eat it in any form it comes in but I would never have the knowledge or confidence to play around with chocolate to make other things

Mike really channeling his inner child.

Ooooh the feta pasta XD I love that one, it is just such an easy dish to make. Wonderful for when I want to cook but don't have the energy for a lot of prep. (I say I don't have the energy but then I always make some chicken as well)

  25. @PJxpanterx

    December 17, 2023 at 11:16 pm

I have done feta with pasta several times and years ago,I am sure many people have, tiktokers did not invent this (love the show!)

  26. @adrianscarlett

    December 17, 2023 at 11:16 pm

I either use a crumbly Cheshire cheese or a thick cottage cheese in my pasta dishes.

  27. @taekwon_donut5388

    December 17, 2023 at 11:16 pm

I had something similar to the caramel coated strawberries about 20 years ago in Belgium – there were strawberries, grapes and apple slices.

  28. @lisapistorius8605

    December 17, 2023 at 11:16 pm

I'm a delayed Zimbabwean living in Cape Town (recently found your channel). Feta in pasta is quite common here. Try Danish feta as it's creamy and salty. Pasta with bacon, Danish feta, mushrooms, bake to melt the feta …. Delicious 😋

  29. @Dalton325

    December 17, 2023 at 11:16 pm

Is it me, or when they’re tasting Jamie’s dish, does it look like Mike is wearing purple eye shadow, blush and red lipstick?

Maybe it’s the lighting. I’m not judging either way.🤣

  30. @carolynmurtaza1180

    December 17, 2023 at 11:16 pm

How much cherry tomatoes do you use ??
    I don't have tik tok

  31. @remonkewl6598

    December 17, 2023 at 11:16 pm

We've been eating pasta with feta for decades in Greece. It's not a new idea, italians just have better marketing.

  32. @Rifimusic

    December 17, 2023 at 11:16 pm

I’m sorry. When I thought I was “innocent” with a pure mind and Ebbers doesn’t know what WAP is. Aww cute

I'm wondering if the sugar-dipping experiment wouldn't work better if he had it on a very-low heat source like a heating pad or something like that. (Something warm enough to keep it liquid, but not hot enough to cook it.)
