It seems pretty much a certainty that Andy Burnham will be the next British prime minister. Exactly when it happens depends on a few factors. We outline some of the reasons an early general election is likely.

Would be interesting – and, I guess, just as much horrifying – to hear the opinions and reasonings of those 7% that "agreed" with Liz Truss' performance at the end of her spell as PM… I mean this is still way too high a number for errant votes, trolls and family members.

I would have Matt Hancock or Liz Truss as the next PM.There again the

The current state of politics is a sad mess. A mass of mostly politcally illiterate workers voting in cliques to work against their real interests. Though issues such as class struggle, alienation and actual democracy seem to be french loan-words.
Well, may the most popular clique win!

The Conservatives are just waiting for Borris to clear his name as the case against him will probably be thrown out of court now that it has come out that the woman who wrote the report was talking to Labour about working for them when she submitted the report on party gate and once Boris has cleared his name the party will repoint him as leader.

Conservatism is a failed ideology, the empirical results of decades of conservative rule(domestically and abroad) shows this rather blatantly. Is it any surprise that the people's votes are reflecting that, even with the erosion of democracy from the Tories?

Governments go stale after a while regardless of which party is in charge and governments also tend to change when the economy is going badly- and the economy isn't just influenced by the governing party but also many other micro and macro factors – like a war in Russia, people getting easy access to credit and global supply shortages. Sunak was handed a poisoned chalice

Brexit is what got us into all this crap to begin with or at least made underlying problems much much worse. Economic stagnation, brain drain, inflation, lack of seasonal workers, etc… Being more right wing and more brexiteer in order to fix the economy and "go for growth" is like recommending someone to cover himself in hairspray to make himself less flammable…
@ika5666
December 19, 2023 at 10:48 am
Why conservatives should be elected if they are not conservatives but masked green-rose-WEF-netzeroes? At least, more authentic anti-British left & liberals are now on the stage, just to be beaten later, if lessons are learned by us the people.
