The current state of politics is a sad mess. A mass of mostly politcally illiterate workers voting in cliques to work against their real interests. Though issues such as class struggle, alienation and actual democracy seem to be french loan-words.

The Conservatives are just waiting for Borris to clear his name as the case against him will probably be thrown out of court now that it has come out that the woman who wrote the report was talking to Labour about working for them when she submitted the report on party gate and once Boris has cleared his name the party will repoint him as leader.

Governments go stale after a while regardless of which party is in charge and governments also tend to change when the economy is going badly- and the economy isn't just influenced by the governing party but also many other micro and macro factors – like a war in Russia, people getting easy access to credit and global supply shortages. Sunak was handed a poisoned chalice

Economic stagnation, brain drain, inflation, lack of seasonal workers, etc… Being more right wing and more brexiteer in order to fix the economy and "go for growth" is like recommending someone to cover himself in hairspray to make himself less flammable…
