Gordon, please stop future collaboration with Uncle Roger. For the sake of a joke, Nigel degraded 2 whole nations with millions of people, Lao and Cambodia.
You have been to both. You have praised them for their uniqueness!! Nigel is wrong! He promoted Adobo. Adobo tastes great but those with health conditions like blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes Adobo is not the go-to food!😊

In Thailand we have exactly the same dish, the name is Hor mok. ‘Hor’ mean wrap, ‘mok’ mean put inside or underneath’ it’s name is from cooking process and the dish character, what the meaning of Amok in Cambodia?

It’s look like Cambodia took the dish and the name from Thai but the name change a little bit from the original name so it’s no meaning in Khmer.

Anyone who visited Siam Reap knows it's not remote part of Cambodia, it's the Paris of Cambodia! Angkor Watt is their Eifel Tower, architecture marvel.
During my 5 nights visit to Siam Reap Angkor Watt, the streets vendors were selling hard boiled eggs with half incubated/ developed chicks inside, customer cracked the shell, with the fetus & the white, eat it with salt and pepper 😱🤢🤮 I watched in horror 🤢🤮😱. I know they had to survive during the Kemer Rough, but I just can't eat a fetus + 🪶 🤢😏😭
