Many contractors are making a fortune out of HS2. It is not being properly financially controlled. The Government does not have the expertise to manage this project effectively. Its turning into a complete White elephant.

Should of started from Manchester and Leeds , then I bet it would of got to London as planned. Leeds leg already cancelled and now maybe the Manchester leg. All this money for London to Birmingham ? What’s the point.

Unless it was always about connecting airports – Bham, East Midlands, Manchester and Heathrow – it was sure to be a disaster. As a brummie i have no intention of going to London . I doubt very much whether Londoners want to come to Brum. So not sure who the supposed passengers where. Total waste of money and it will be cancelled as a train line to nowhere.

  20. @daveydarko5026

    January 1, 2024 at 4:37 pm

Scrap it! HS2 are a disgusting company that’s treats people like dog poo. They have destroyed so much of our country and for what? A train that nobody wants or needs other than the firms that are building it and successive corrupt governments. We need schools, hospitals and services for the people, not an over priced, u Dee delivered white elephant with a blank cheque.

HS2 a total waste of taxpayers money.
It may create jobs but that is only temporary. Once this idiotic idea is over (if it goes ahead fully), people will be jobless again. Money has already been wasted and politicians have fattened their wallets along with their friends.

Viral bricklayer SLAMS Labour for punishing workers

Published

A viral bricklayer has told GB News how he feels he has been ‘lied to’ by this Labour government.

Don Daniels, who’s posts have been seen by millions on social media, said the budget attacks the working class.

He told GB News: “It’s us working class that are paying the bill for it. We’re the ones suffering and the people on benefits are now thriving. I can’t blame the people on benefits to an extent, it’s the government giving them the option not to work.”
