   I went on an apprenticeship 50 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did and has kept me in work for all that time, in fact I am still working because I love my job and I get paid well too.

   Apprenticeships are great and should be an equal option to universities. A snobbishness just holds kids back.

   When i left school at 15 i got an apprenticeship, most of my class mates also started work , and started paying into the system , these days your lucky if a young person starts work at 21.
   No wonder they keep putting up the retirement age .
   I supose it is that the government havnt had their pound of flesh

   back when i trained as an audio engineer (before completing an electrical qualification) I recall you could complete a degree in / on David Beckham!!!!! Mickey Mouse degree for sure

   Repay the student l oians from tve university endowments. Liquidate all their assets.
   Being good socialists, the university staff believe in free education, so they can work for nothing!

    If the gov didn’t raise the fee up to £9000 a year I didn’t need a loan to pay for my Uni fee. It was £3000 when my siblings did theirs and they didn’t get a loan. The previous fee for a 3 years degree = 1 year current fee.

    Get loony, lefty, gender ideology idiocy lecturers out of universties. Degrees are not the be all and end all….apprenticeships are the way for many. Just look at the university educated police officers who have bugger all common sense and have broken the public trust with their woke ideologies.

    As a nation..we should be encouraging the young to take up apprenticeships..in traditional industries..like plumbing..electrical..building trades ..not this often mindless pseudo academic trivia..degrees in media nonsense…we have enough of these people as it is..each trying to set social agendas for the 'New Age' mindset forums…God help us in the future when the need for concrete practicality is required to solve serious practical issues

    I want as many kids as possible to go to uni, it makes them better and more rounded people, mixing with other young people from all over gives them a much better outlook on life and they always come out better educated and nicer for the the experience, I'd love it if all our kids went to uni.
