I think the most perfect chocolate cake would be light, but not like sponge cake. Not too dense, or muddy. Has that chocolate taste, but not too much. Maybe some rum taste to balance the sweetness. Really thin ganache. Every bite is perfectly moist. I want recipe for such cake.

Not to discredit gordon but this is quite basic except for the ginger and golden syrup ig, haven't ever heard of that, still, basic vanilla sponge, basic cream, basic chocolate covering, obviously gonna be awesome, but kinda simple
