on benefits and health issues also Gov cruel with high price not helping at all …, discrimination with ethnicity group ? can you believe around £600 to above £900 rising on particular ethnicity group ? no gov or council support in this matter but gov giving equal funds to every one in the news really has no meaning with rising prices on benefits ?5 6 times higher now …?
@datalore3276
December 29, 2023 at 8:21 am
Besides the fact that poor choices by our government has meant we can not supply enough electric without buying it from other places it does not explain how the companies that own the energy supply have made a huge profit in the past 2 years.
Who cares if small energy suppliers go out of business they do not supply the energy the power station do.
Why has my bill gone from £90 to £370? Wind?
That means that the power plant MUST have a running cost of 400% more than it did saying we have less wind and the price of gas is higher does not show how my bill has increased 400% while at the same time energy companies are making record profits.

we're sitting on thousands of years worth of coal beneath our feet – and our clean coal-burning power plants give out nothing but water vapour and carbon dioxide. hence why something necessary for life itself not to mention something we ourselves in fact exhale – has been turned into a toxic pollutant to be wiped out in a zeitgeist of (as prince charles stated) wartime-like effort. they want you to be reliant on stuff like wind precisely because its mostly inefficient, very expensive and unreliable
beware of that smart meter

Price caps NEVER work. They put businesses into bankrupt and create even more shortages regardless of the type of commodity. Besides, when they are in financial trouble, the government always intervenes, effectively eliminating the independence of the companies.

No. British electrical cost is through the roof because (1) they got rid of nuclear power, and (2) they shut down all their coal power production, and (3) they want to pay 3000% more instead of fracking for gas.

dear energy customer,
due to the particularly mild October your currently enjoying you are not using as much energy to heat your homes and as such
as company director of Ripoffier energy suppliers I still want my new Mercedes this quarter so as such I will be raising prices again too offset energy sales profits lost
and if you fit an efficient heat pump or find further greener energy saving cost cutting measures I will be forced to do the same again next quarter
thanks for your understanding & cooperation!
and remember our motto
you wont save money well do that for you!
yours faithfully

But yet Power companies in 2022 will make the most profit in last 10 years.
Why not lower the prices and force a set profit that power companies can make like 25% gains not the current profits they make of 4000-5000 % of what it costs them to make 1KW /hour

The problem can be directly pointed to the “Green “ policies. The greenies are responsible for bankrupting millions of people and destroying the larger economy. I am a climate researcher and our research is unambiguous and backed up with experiments- Co2 has no measurable effect on the climate at all. None. Nada . Nil. So governments are destroying the world economy for a false pretense. We live in bizarre times.

Get rid of all this "green" over expensive so-called renewable energy and return to burning native British coal. This is a country sitting on millions of tons of good quality coal so why don't we utilise it?
