In a somewhat unsurprising move, the UK headed to the EU earlier this week to try and seek an extension to the Brexit deadline. The extension they were granted was longer than May’s request but the UK agreed. This means that the UK will now remain within the EU until October 31st. We explain what happened, why the date was selected and when the UK will actually leave the EU.

It seems pretty much a certainty that Andy Burnham will be the next British prime minister. Exactly when it happens depends on a few factors. We outline some of the reasons an early general election is likely.

Once again, the EU's dogs (aka the British government, and almost every other European government right now) have betrayed the British people. Brits just want a simple, clean Brexit, it's not that hard.
Oh, and it would be nice if we could flush all of them down the toilet already, so we can take back control of our countries and protect our culture and our people.

Simple answer, it's going to be a long process but we are not leaving. My forecast is that when we have the European Parliament Elections there will be a huge increase in pro-EU parties, such as the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party, and pressure will be put on the British Government to find a way to stop Brexit forever. I also forecast that if you are going to remain unbiased in your reporting, you are going to have to change the way you ask and answer your questions.
I look forward to remaining an EU Citizen in the forthcoming years to come.
@marymary1978
December 29, 2023 at 2:06 am
We have been led as a democracy country and what is happening is not democracy practice, so we need to stop dogging the Brexit leave without a deal, we are a great country that can stand in our own two feet! Vote Brexit without a deal asap!
@justbecausenootherreason
December 29, 2023 at 2:06 am
4:28 TLDR news only you remoaners wants a 2nd referendum. We leave voters don't want it and tbh don't need it as the 1st vote hasn't been implemented yet. Leavers are scared of it as some will post but why should be have one if the 1st one hasn't been implemented. That's just sore losers getting a chance to reverse the democracy process like it current is being done in Parliament.
A general election will destroy the Tories and potentially put Labour in power (God help the UK if this happens).
@gavrielpapas773
December 29, 2023 at 2:06 am
Macron should have been tougher. Since the British Parliament cannot make up its mind. The Europeans should have demanded the second referendum as a condition for the extension. Among the British public, Brexit has no majority, anymore.
The best possible deal is staying a member of the EU. All the other deals are worse … and MPs know that damn well, that's why they couldn't decide how to leave the EU. Whenever the UK leaves, the UK will have a major or minor financial crash and they may even deserve it, if they couldn't consider the risks of leaving.
@AngloSaxon449
December 29, 2023 at 2:06 am
A bit of information for you to brighten up your day especially for you leave voters we actually left on the 29th of March 11 p.m. because the prime minister did not consult Parliament to get votes on extending article 50 so therefore the extension is null and void Robin Tilbrook is building a case against the Prime Minister to take the government to court over unlawfully extending article 50 so pass it on we have left the European Union with No Deal as of 29th of March 11 p.m. this year
