I'd love to know how a new phone system will result in a waiting time lower than 4 weeks to get an appointment

They said they would be building 40 new hospitals as well and they never materialised.

This is a result of GP practices merging and becoming bigger. It is greed, simple as that. I am privately insured because there is no way I am putting up with that nonsense if I ever need a doctor. My insurance, which includes guaranteed same day 30 minute GP consultations, costs less than I pay in NI ffs!!

Pharmacy will be prescribing a PPI for cancers and antibiotics for persistent coughs. All a bad idea when GPS already miss cancer symptoms

There are so many ppl here who are from Arabic countries and have Italian, German passports allowing them in. They are all registered. It’s mass immigration, legal and illegal

Its ultimately a matter of greed. £100K+ a year for a GP who works 3½ days & doesn't physically see patients.

It’s was the Blair government who started the overpopulation of the U.K. which is now causing a lot of problems on public services.

Don't worry labour all those illegal migrants you human trafficking here all have a degree in medicine.
If you want uk people to be doctors again you have to let white people take education and not block them with diversity "you know that move left doing thats heavily racist to white people so black can cry victim because they useless failures"

50% of the numptees ringing at 8am should have gone and seen a pharmaicist instead. GPs are not the problem here. Funding is not the problem here. The public abusing the NHS is the problem. We need to invest and build up Pharmacist services.

With all due respect cannot compare this country to what it was in 2010 when Labour were last in charge. Far bigger population and Labour will allow it to grow year on year so will forever be playing catch up as far as NHS is concerned. The policy to have nursing degrees has been a complete failure and with three years to train them I assume Labour will go down the route of bringing in foreign nurses, hence increasing the population even further. It is a downward spiral. I give up.

Any positive headlines will do, mind you they have only had 13 years in power…

Better if we stopped being the International Health Service and forced GP's to work for the IHS for a minimum of 20 years if they want training in this country. Strange that the government uses smoke and mirrors to distract from the obvious.

  21. @chrisspencer6502

    December 27, 2023 at 9:29 am

Big headline numbers but the issue would remain that staff shortages are the problem

  22. @brianpotter3870

    December 27, 2023 at 9:29 am

You can’t get an appointment because there’s not enough doctors, online booking won’t improve anything. More government nonsense.

    We are severely over populated.
