Can football ever be football again like until 1995 and the cancerous Bosman rule or it will continue to be just PAY TO WIN and BUY TO BE BETTER garbage ?!
If this shit continue UEFA and FIFA need to implement minimum buyout clause with 20 million euros.
Or football will die in east europe and rest of the world.
If you want football only on west europe then go forward.

right on the River Mersey????? magnificent it is NOT. Regent Road is one big long industrial estate, sewerage treatment works next door, working docks offloading lots of stinking cargoes, an asphalt plant, giant flour silos, giant scrap metal mound in Nortons. Regent Road has 5 HGV wagons to every car. It has no parking, no shops, no food outlets, no public transport route within 10 minutes walk. It will be a shiny new button on a dirty old pair of overalls.

Nobody criticises Moshiri because he hasn't put money in. No, he's put money in. He's just a complete idiot and has sloshed it up the wall. He wanted to bring Bielsa in for a relegation fight, says it all.

He's too stupid a man to listen and reform, so he needs binning. And after the ridiculous headlock lie from Baxendale-Barrett – who has her position solely due to professional nepotism and 'being a mate' of 'Blue Bill', the theatric perpetual lying moron – the whole board, every last one of them, need booting out the club, physically if need be.

The custodians aren't good enough for the club. Get out.

Let's have it right – he put a lot in, but HE, himself, has wasted it, together with Kenwright.

as a neutral, I really hope they stay up otherwise I'm fearful they could go down a similar road as Norwich a couple decades ago

When they lose to Bournemouth on the last game of the season, they’ll find themselves opening the new stadium while in the Championship.

That stadium doesn’t look like it’s going to be ‘one of the best in Europe’. Compare it to Spurs. Not close, and Arsenal’s stadium looks far better and that’s getting on for 20 years old now, plus is bigger.

Can’t see Everton doing anything unless a multi billionaire takes them on as a real project, not just buying players, but getting an Ancelotti and giving him everything he needs, like Pep at City. So losing not just him, but Benitez, too, will put other top managers off, imo.

Not just about money, but how you spend it. People look at City and think ‘it only takes vast wealth’, but it’s far far more than that. It’s a model, a strategy of everything, not just buying expensive players and expecting them to win because they cost a lot. A lot of really talented dedicated people need to buy into the club and be given everything possible that they need, from manager and players, coaches, back room staff, like doctors and physics, and board members, directors… everyone. Talent from top to bottom with no weak links, and then it’s taken City, possibly the most perfectly run football club in history right now, 15 years to get to the point of a treble, and although the league is done, need to beat Man U and Inter, two decent, but far inferior teams in their respective finals, and there are no gimmes in FA Cup nor Champions League Finals, ever.

Remember, Liverpool nearly won the Treble in 1977 only to lose the FA Cup final to Man U, and when the latter won it in 1999, it was the best team they ever had, in their best season, so far ahead of anyone else in England, and a bit lucky, in both cups. When the former missed out, they were in a league that had another team Forest, that won 2 European Cups, and Villa who won another, all within a few years. England dominated then.

4:36 Can’t remember seeing a good pic of Anfield from Goodison before, only the other way around. Looks very imposing, and with the new Anfield Rd end, will look even more imposing now.

Everton have been pretending to be a big club, employing managers who don't want to be there, signing players the bigger clubs pass on. They need to go right back to basics. Get a young manager who can grow with the squad and form an identity the club can grow around. They need to understand they cannot compete with Utd, City, Pool, so kidding themselves they can got them into this mess. I hate to say it but sometimes relegation is a good thing. As a Wolves fan, I hated our double relegation at the time but in the long term is was necessary to get rid of the bad owners, out-dated manager and rotten squad. You gotta hit rock bottom before you can climb again.

I think the way to go is sign a manager on a long term deal. Start with stability

  20. @rockster509

    December 27, 2023 at 8:21 am

Where he hell is that points reduction, no mention in this report of the financial dopping the club has been doing or the impending punishment

    December 27, 2023 at 8:21 am

Massively Deluded fan base, telling my grandkids I remember when we won the league title, that won't ever happen for them there Everton.

I will settle for getting into top 4, what are these people smoking, even smoking crack ain't this mad, they are Everton. They play Sunday League style football 40 years out of date 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Everton are not a big club they are lower mid table fodder

I understand why they needed to move ground, Goodison was at risk of falling apart, but why did they settle on 53 thousand seats. Only an extra 13 thousand or so. Why didnt they aim for 60 or 70?

I remember the gap between winning the league in 87 and the Cup in 95, they were 8 horrible years. But never in my days did it think, that after 95, we'd go over quaternary of a century and more without any success.
